The Minstrel
"The Minstrel" is a song created from one of my poems. The lyrics reflect aspects of my character which, like minstrels of old, shared alternative news, views and poetic verse from their travels.

I’m a foreign astral traveler, a rebel visiting here,
in a land of the unliving, where community lives in fear.
I sing for those who’ll listen, to my stories and my tales
Where justice has an honor and community never fails.
I’m the minstrel of a music, I curse the mainstream wrongs,
I cater to humanity, for their stories, truth, and songs.
I bring tidings of a future, unlock secrets of the past,
and chip away at the torus, that’s negative and meant to last.
I’m the champion of morality, in truth all I convey
I believe in human freedoms, that all must have a say

I first heard this song in Music Appreciation 101 class in about 1987 while in college, then promptly forgot about it. Except I remembered the melody. Now 35 years later I was trying to find the name of the piece and it was driving me crazy! I finally heard it at the end of Soylent Green movie, of all places. What a masterpiece of music!

Such an iconic piece that brings back memories of my family. I played this piece so many times with the biggest conductors of all times. Better performance than this one but that doesn’t matter. It’s about Beethoven and the memories from childhood. I love it. A timemachine. It takes me back instantly 55 years ago.

True but it can also be a bit scary...as for music, I've been using the music AI site to bring out my poems which I've been turning into lyrics. AI seems to work well for music if you put in lyrics and then choose moods and genres.
