I've thought about taking my kids Mackerel fishing as they love to eat it, but I've only ever done it from a boat. I'm close to Norfolk coast and it always strikes me that it would be too shallow? Not a fisherman, any tips or advice welcome. 🤣

I live near great Yarmouth. I would love to catch mackeral. Not sure it is good around here for that though

It does make me laugh how when we put a piece of food in our mouths that is like the surface of the sun, instead of waiting a little while so we can enjoy it at a sensible temperature we keep on eating it like, it's fine, the blister is forming, lets get it down our necks before it pops. After getting lost coming down Sugar loaf mountain (for 4hrs) we had to alter our itinerary somewhat (we lost a day to rest), we had planned to see this falls after doing the 4 waterfall walk but had to skip it with our changed route. Congrats on the baby btw ♥

A few years back i was walking along the beach at Horsey Gap. There were railway tracks along there as well. Although a lot of it was buried under the sand. I have been back a few times since and not managed to find it again. I don't know if they would have been connected at some point but that line was also on the beach. Although it was at the bottom of the sand dunes.

Even if it is all unproved, it is so sad how so much of the coast is now in the sea, it is weird that is hasn't been properly documented I grew up close to Aldeburgh so places being reclaimed isn't something new to me but things that are in my living memory is always pretty poignant. Also I would quite literally crap my pants waking along a piece of coast where I can see high tide is SO high!

Noooo, what no kayak, I feel for you, mine hasn't touched the broads for over 2 yrs now and is a constant head bashing risk in my flat but I can't imagine getting rid of it. As for factor 50, as a fellow ginger I don't much rate it as sunburn prevention, Shame that mat didn't work out.

Nice video. Brings back memories of 30 years ago when I last fished there. Used to be some lovely fish then. Only reason I stopped fishing there was, cars were getting damaged.
