I'm 75 yrs old, suffering from kidney and liver disease, plus l have pain issues, my Dr from ravensong clinic has taken away my tiny doseof codiene. For most of my life ive suffered from severe panic attacks which proffessional psychiatrists and neurologists have always treated successfully with benzos also the neurologists found i had a neurological disease that would be crippling as i aged This Dr used to prescribe codiene; about 5 times stronger than what I was getting from otc. acetamenophen w codiene, why that much stronger i don't know why i didnt want aceta. because of my 1 kidney In 2017 the college demonized opioids ths dr tries to perscribe Antipsychotics or antidepressants of which im neither. Thanks to the college they dont help people really.

I understand your dilemma. He should of explained to you. Have you thought of contacting the College of Physicians and Surgeons personally? When you get up there in age doctors get all skittish about prescribing stuff like that.

Don't trust these losers. No matter what happens, they are there to protect the doctors and have no concern for patients other than how many pills can they jam down your throat and how much money they will make off each transaction... er... patient. These are the same fools that got our medical system into the condition it is, so why would ANYONE trust them with their health?! Supply and demand. When the supply of family doctors is limited, then the demand for that doctor goes up creating a market ripe for doctors to abuse their role in society and start cherry picking people for patients based on how many pills they can push on that patient. We are slipping quickly down the slippery slope of making money first then trying to heal the patients. Greed will not solve your problems you old cronies, but it will ensure you have a miserable life chasing the dollar! My question is how many doctors in BC are addicted to the pills they are selling to their patients, sorry, prescribing to their patients.
