@@anthonypetro9240 It’s not for the faint of hearts but either is the country we hunt. It’s single handed the hardest place in the country to hunt whitetails. It’s doesn’t matter if they are bedded, running or standing still. If you don’t take an opportunity when you get it you may not get another the rest of the season.

It's illegal to shoot an animal in its bed.
I don't know where ur from but it's definitely not illegal, some say it's unethical. However, if u can stalk a bedded deer and get close enough to take a fatal shot without wounding the animal because it's body is curled up, then by all means take the shot. It's a lot harder to sneak up on a bedded deer than it is to have one walk 100 yards in front of of u and u shoot it with a rifle. Some say its unethical because they've never tried it and the people that have tried it will shake ur hand and congratulate u on ur success because they know how hard it actually is. Deer don't sleep sound like we do. They take cat naps but their sense of smell and hearing still works as they cat cap. So if u think this deer was out cold dreaming of warmer days when food was plentiful, ur wrong on that too

Thanks for the feedback, Brent. It was not on purpose. It was filmed that way originally. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it in production, but the the story was too good not to share.

Was it the Bible college in Colorado Springs? My pastor went there as well if so. ( He’s a hunter as well) I never feel as close to God as to when I am in the woods during deer season. Especially when I’m atop a mountain summit. God is good!! 👍
