I like this guy, i can pick up what he's putting down. He must be a teacher i would say.
Ultimately, both traditional and smart inverters can provide the power you need on your boat. Weighing the pros and cons, your budget, and desired features will help you make the best choice for your boating adventures.
Thanks , great opinion.
I absolutely love your content
This guy is awesome
Rear main seal clasic
Thank you, Mr. Lopez for that explanation. 👍🏻
In older cars there were gearboxes, but no clutches or sunchros. There are rumors, that Taxi drivers were faster with rpm matching than modernd DSG
Yea I doubt that lol, but I’m sure they were really good. My old SMG single clutch could shift in 60-80 ms
Yeah it only had a clutch dampening plate and spring without the lining and pressure plate assembly
You do in the Philippines, and 4 fwd gears. You often don't have a starter motor, watching 4 men rope starting a 4 Litre diesel is something you don't soon forget.
Looks like a km2. They have a bronze cone clutch
Hey Mr. Lopez, I noticed you missed a key factor in the 120/240v system. The neutral (grounded conductor). For 120/240 system you need 2 phases, a neutral (grounded conductor) and equipment ground (grounding conductor). The neutral carries the unbalanced load, while the ground creates a fault path as well as equal potential. It is very important to have both. I see a lot of European boats not equipped with a true 4 wire system, even though they come out of the yard “ready for the US”. Are they not knowledgeable in split phase? Is it laziness or price (many of the boats I work on are production)? Is it availability of wire in Europe? I’m guessing 4 wire probably isn’t readily used, manufactured or available since Europe mainly does single and 3 phase.
Our ski boat has a gm th400 transmission
Hey fancy pants rich McGee over here...
Well not actually. There are many marine transmissions that have cone type clutches with very unique mechanisms that control torque application to the output shaft…
A Prius engine has the same thing
Looks suspiciously like the damper springs on an automotive clutch😁. Before anyone abused their keyboard, I have over 30 years of experience on the water with marine engines.
Mr. lopez I learn a lot from your videos, is there any way I can speak to you and take a few mins of your busy schedule if that is okay
Is that what a lockup converter is. Like a 700R4 ?
Golden knowledge for those weekend skippers thinking they know everything
I learned something new thank you
electrohydraulic and Mechanical servo valve
This younger generation are an enthusiastic bunch now aren't they
Quick question - when I hook up my multimeter like you show I get 0.1 Amps (no power). Then I turn the house battery to on, but none of the electronics at all power on… ia this an issue with the multimeter itself? The gauge of the wires? When I hook the battery back up like normal everything powers in just fine… Would you recommend a minimum settings / model multimeter?
Great short video! Your videos have helped me so much with my boat. Thank you.
I glad those videos are helpful for you. For more information please visit my website at www.mttedu.org
Stupid
How do I go about getting one of those molds
Mr Lopez, I have a question for you. If I have a dometic compressor that runs on 410a 16k btu what should my suction and head pressures be.
These labs look so great… wish you had a school in the west coast
Sounds like the triton motor from ford
The gasket on those blow out way too easily and then you have no tension, and no oil pressure.
Thank you for the video
Thanks
Hmmm. For some reason i have missed this video!
No one can explain better than him
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your words.
Great program
Nice!
Good work
This is free information, people need to appreciate this, love seeing demonstrations like this
A small hint: If you have a faulty electronic or electrical component and you noticed signs of burns try to check for any possible short circuit before you replace that faulty part because if you replace the part and it burns again it would be your last spare available
Thanks for your comment
It's okay to mount an inverter over lithium batteries right?
Tan despectivo este señor se cree l a última Coca-Cola. Y ese ingles tan horrible.👎👎👎👎👎
It’s my understanding that you need a galvanic isolator for each 30 amp circuit which I did not see in your video
Hello. My recommendation is a Galvanic isolator per each Shore Power outlet. The GI is designed to block the intrusion of bad currents (normally small DC Currents) through the ground in your boat. Of course the capacity in Amps of the GI should be the same than the capacity (in Amp) of the main breaker at the AC Panel. Best regards
