Generally speaking, one can't fly those scale aircraft like a pattern ship. I found two other beautiful Beachcraft models that crashed in a similar fashion when the pilot tried to fly them like his pattern ship.

I flew a Beech 18 professionally for a couple of years back in the 1980s. It was actually pretty good at doing aileron rolls.

The motor sound makes the plane sound aggressive, pardon the pun. With that swept-back wings for a biplane, though!!! And the cherry on top is the "dead stick landing" while flying sideways

The blurred figure on the flight line was very lucky. What in hell were they even doing there?? An air strip closer right there if seen by authoritys. As to the stunt work on scale plane... money cant buy brains.. every club has its entertaining members that destroy wonderfull things then show up a week later with something else to destroy

Should be flown free flight as designed. You actually need to know how to adjust a nodel and not just twiddle knobs and buttons.

Did you ever consider building an almost 100% replica of the lightweight Curtiss-Wright CW-21 'Interceptor' (or Demon)? In 1942 this type had some moderate success in the Dutch East Indies against Japanese fighters. With better training and preparation of the Dutch pilots, this success could have even been better.
