What always impressed me with the V8 races was just how damned fast the medical car was. It followed the pack around absolutely flat out, and would get to the pit lane when the cars were about halfway through the next lap. That may sound slow, but it is **ridiculously** fast for a "normal" car with a set of lights on the roof, two people, and about 100 lbs of medical gear on board!

It's a real tragedy that these engines are no longer in use. The almost deafening, screaming of the F1's was what people came to hear. There was nothing like it... Watch a race start at the same track from 2022, it doesn't even compare. I will always be an F1 fan, but I do miss the noise. 😢

@0:34 min et sequitur. The cars are standing there, idling, for a LOOOONG time, to be precise until 1:30 min. That would never happen in today's F1 races. That could kill any engine.
