How to make a furniture handle using a mold.
zhlédnutí 27Před 2 lety
Knowing how to make things using a mold is valuable information. Molds have many uses, you can use a mold to make something to sell or to replace a broken item using a mold to make a replacement part. In this video I use a mold to make a replacement handle for a chest of drawers which would otherwise be hard to find. Mould making is a skill which comes in very handy.

Avro Vulcan bomber air display at RAF Waddington. The Vulcan delta winged bomber aircraft is one of the most recognisable aircraft in aviation history. It served it's time as a deterrent against nuclear war during the cold war period between Russia and the west and served again during the Falklands war against Argentina.
Frogs
zhlédnutí 13Před 2 lety
Frogs are amphibians and need still water to breed. Each spring they return to a pond to mate and reproduce. The eggs are entombed in a jelly like coating which expands as it absorbs the water. Frogs are not very good parents and once finished mating they leave their offspring to fend for themselves. To find out more about wildlife please visit www.mikeswildlifegarden.co.uk
Garden bird feeder
zhlédnutí 14Před 2 lety
Lots of people like feeding garden birds. It's very satisfying to attract different kinds of birds feeding on the bird food you put out for them. Most people buy bags of seeds or put out fat balls to feed the birds but here I'm showing you how to make a bird food mix which the birds will absolutely love. I hope you will give it a try and visit my wildlife garden website at www.mikeswildlifegard...
Wood mouse and common vole video

Video of wood mice and voles. This video shows wild wood mice and voles. Wood mice and voles are common and most people with gardens in rural areas will have them in their gardens but may not know it. Some consider voles as vermin as they like to have a nibble at almost anything to see if it's food but they are a vital source of food for other wildlife like foxes and owls. If you have a cat and...
How to make a router table

How to make a router table out of scrap pieces of metal taken out of an ex-ambulance before a camper van conversion is started. I've bought an old ambulance and I know I will need a router table. I've had to strip out the ambulance and I wanted to re-use anything I could to 1) to recycle as much as possible and 2) to save some money. As you'll see in the video it cost me nothing more than a cou...

This video is about how to make an electric guitar. I made this guitar without any previous experience apart from making lots of other things before. In this the final part I'll be fitting the fret wires to the guitar neck. I'll be glueing the parts of the guitar body together and sanding it down ready for the finishing process. When the body is smoothed it will be stained, waxed and polished b...

In this first part, I show you how I designed the shape of the guitar, how the pieces of the guitar were p...

This video is about how to make an electric guitar. I made this guitar without any previous experience apart from making lots of other things before. Here in part three I complete the shaping of the guitar body and move onto the guitar neck. Making the neck of the guitar was the hardest part because of the accuracy needed in shaping the neck and spacing the frets. I chose to make a 'scarf' join...

Excellent. How did you get them to hang in an evenly spaced way?

Excellent job Mike, thanks. I couldn't tell the original from the copy at the end of the video.
Cute
Wow👍🏻
Very interesting Mike , lot of hard thinking gone into that , well done . Btw I’ve hit the button lol keep up the good work
Thank you Jackie.
love your pond :)
Have a baby vole in my hands trying to comforted her
Mike to give a cleaner hole you can drill from one side. Once your center protrudes flip it over put your hole cutter back in the other side and drill it through. Saves having to clean it up afterwards.
They almost sound like plastic toys in my yard. Going to use my new have a heart trap soon
A very nice bird box, but I don’t have a perch as it assists predators. To facilitate easy cleansing I cut the rear in half crossways. The top rear half is then firmly fixed to the roof and sides, whilst the lower rear half is fixed to the upper half by one or two small hinges. Then fix the bottom half to the floor with a small hasp and staple or the like. This way makes it easy to thoroughly clean the box. What do you think ?
hi Mike i cant find anything on bird box measurement ???????
Thanks mike very helpful, from watching the birds skill fully enter the boxes ,I won’t be putting a peg on mine.but otherwise it’s a great box and I will be copying it.
Thanks for your comment David, I'm glad it was helpful. I know some people say you shouldn't put a peg outside the hole but the birds do like to sit on it.
O and thanks for the tip on using a black and decker jobber, it looks a really sturdy bit of kit
I’m going to try and apply this to my nesting boxes for chickens. Thanks
So special.
I enjoyed your video tremendously. Great footage and info.👍
Thank you Donna, I'm glad you liked the video, it makes it worth the effort making it.
Love how you feed the wild robins ❤️. Are there more robins or just this one that comes to you ?
I really like this bird house, particularly the roof style.
thank you very much for dis informative video...Mike Nettleship... Query:NO Query[NQ]…
Mm....Not trying to be mean, but why did you think this would be interesting? lol

God bless this youtuber and the voles
God bless you!
It's a good idea before assembling, to affix to the inside of the front panel a few twigs leading from the base to the entry hole. This allows the young fledglings something to grip as they make their way to the exit hole. I am confused as to how you affix the box, since you cannot get access to the three holes previously prepared once the front is fastened.
Good video, very thorough. Just written a blog post about this if anyone wants a look www.littlepeckers.co.uk/blog/bird-nesting-boxes/
Your video helped us making our first nest box for house sparrows on our terrace garden in New Delhi.
Cute Little Beasts!!!!! Tenders!!!!
I used to have 4 voles, as kind of pets, I kept them in cages on my porch, garage and just anywhere NOT IN THE HOUSE, my mom wouldn't let me, I do not have them any more, I released two and two died, but I am trying to catch more now.
Hi Mike I have been making similar boxes for many years, it has been a learning curve of do's and don'ts. One of the first things I learned was to make the front apex protrude at least four inches (like a porch), this aids in preventing not only the wind blown rain from entering the nest box, it also helps prevent cats from sitting on top of the box and hooking out any chicks with their claws. I also learned to fit the base inside the nest box about 1cm up. This greatly reduces the risk of water running down the sides and penetrating the nesting area. And lastly, wildlife expert Chris Packham advises never to put any perch on the nest box as this only encourages unwanted visitors to sit and harass any occupants, a nest box really doesn't need one. You can use exterior wood glue (wipe off any excess with a damp cloth)on the four sides as this works like a water seal to help keep the inside as dry as possible. Nice woodworking Mike, I think I will be changing my clamp for a Black&decker Jobber. I had better butter up the Mrs if I'm gonna get yet another handy little tool for the workshop lol
nice pond!
Could you do like an overview of your wall please :)
My grandson found a baby vole after we finished haying our field. Soft old me, am feeding it goat milk and pablum. Destructive as they are, I still intend to raise this critter, but wondered about keeping it as a pet.
This is so cute. So wholesome ❤️
Wow, you placed HD cam in that nestbox? :o the best qulity nestbox video i ever seen
