Such transcendent music. It gives me that Jimi Hendrix vibe when he was breaking out from the persona that people expected (the guy who lit his guitar on fire) and he was venturing out and recording with different band lineups & breaking away from just being a “rock musician”. This song has the very cool vibe similar to Hendrix’s song “Captain Coconut. But please dont think I’m suggesting your band is ripping off Hendrix. Songs with vibes like that are hard to categorize because they basically are creating new genres with every note played. You hear things like jazz or jazz fusion… then there’s progressive rock to art rock… it’s modern classical music which cant be defined. It’s chilling how your music hits those deep emotions… and from reading comments to your videos here on CZcams as well as what people think of your music across the Internet.. I know I’m not alone in feeling that way. Artists like your band make the world both a little smaller & connected while expanding the world to show the possibilities. When my partner gets back from her travels to a wedding (which I’m not attending)… I’m going break out some mushrooms and really zone in on your music. I just dont want to do it while I’m alone. Because there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years… Things hit differently when you are 60 years old as opposed to being 16 years old. As Hunter S Thompson wrote, “Buy the ticket. Take the ride”. Finding your music has been the best thing that has happened to me while being 60. You’ve made my year. Best to all three of you. ✌🏽❤️🎸🍄🌬️🍃

A quick change of costume, different instruments new drummer et voila, Khruangbin is transformed into Balthvs. I am not implying that they are the same band, I am stating that Baltshazar basically appropriated Khruangbin's act and copied some of their songs and style, made a few mostly minor adjustments and improvements. All the phrasing, timing and cadence is the same as Khruangbin and there are certain characteristics you cannot effectively fake, because most notably, the guitarist and bandleader of Khruangbin, Mark Speer is so unique and original, absorbing Thai funk grooves from the 70's the imitation is obvious not to mention their movement and gestures are strikingly similar. This is not to say I have any problem with what they are doing, because the music is superb, however I'm deeply annoyed by the fact that Balthazar has never to the best of my knowledge acknowledged their debt to Khruangbin. This conscious omission Is like dismissing the originals bushwhack through the underbrush of slightly new territory and made a super highway for the imitators to follow. By by not acknowledging the originals, the imitators are taking credit for their work. However that said, this performance captivated my attention to the end and left me with the satisfaction of a worthwhile experience. While the bassist in both bands are not great by any stretch of the imagination, their contribution to the bands, laying down a solid and adequate bottom end, both are superb singers and eye candy is indispensable to the visual dynamics of their respective shows. Balthasar's guitar playing is absolutely brilliant his phrasing, timing and cadence is excellent imitation of Mark Speers, his playing clean and precise and has a great sound. While Balthazar's tone is much better than Mark's, he should give credit where credit is due.
