At the Columbia Gorge Early Music Retreat 2013, Phil Neuman demonstrated carving sweet potatoes to make cornettos. Each person in the group carved a cornetto and the whole group plays a canon, Benedic Domine nos, based on music by Adam Grumpelzhaimer.

    Thank you for these videos. I saved all 8 as I am attempting to create a krummhorn with PVC water pipe tubes, and the reeds from plastic drink cups from Speedway Gas stations, or 7-11 convenience stores. I have started with 3/4 inch pipe and 1/2 inch pipe for the instrument bodies. For the plastic reeds, however I am using 3/8 x.014 inch brass tubing for the staple part of the reed. I am going to need to find dimensions and templates for the finger holes. I plan to order your booklet, for the information I will need .
