Neat bike the Beemer. I just acquired o e the other day but the Strada or ST more street version but i ride it quite hard on the dirt and it really handles well for what it is.

disconnect the battery for a minute or two. may reset the computer, and consider a code reader for your own use. good luck, Im buying an 850tt.

I got a Funduro as my first bike in 2001. Did a big trip with it and rode it everyday when I could given Canadian seasons. Got written off in an accident. Had several different bikes since, and I always missed that Funduro. So I got another $1100 carb in zip locks special. Took the time to restore it and upgrade the front suspension with gold valves and a custom fork brace I made. Took it on a trip and rode it a lot last year and came to the conclusion that it really is as awesome as I remembered. Not suited to singletrack or high speed highway runs. But everything else it does with character and satisfaction. It is now my travel bike. I use it for any longer trips I plan. They are awesome analog feeling bikes with character and ability. Think of it as a faster more refined KLR.

Enjoyed that - you can get 'fender extenders' that (mostly) fix the splash issue online for the Caponord. Few quid, so why not? Like the look without the beak... might try in myself.

Eh I don't think 3kW is enough for a real kitchen, like you will only be able to use 1 big load at a time, really I think for a fullsized kitchen you should be going for 6kW minium, like I think the advice of Will Prowes of DIY Solar with Will Prowes has it right, "buy the biggest inverter to can afford because you will end up spending a tonne of money on inverters buying for what you currently use because you will buy a few more appliences and they don't even have to be big and you will end up needing in a chain of buying inverter after inverter." And if you buy for example a Growatt SPF5000-ES 48V Inverter you can add another inverter upto 6 meaning 30kW... which like that is just dumb, but I can see going for 10 or 15 if your doing a system for a faimily house, 5000W is fine for a single person though, you can run 2 reltaively large loads like a air frier and induction hob and a few smallish loads, and like the Growatt SPF5000-ES 48V Inverter can be had for like £650 so considering your already going to be at the very least spending £600 on batteries and your going to want 1000W of solar minium which is another ~$600, like I think it's worth spending the extra on the inverter and batteries to get you upto 48V and a 48V inverter that you can add another one to later. Also that Growwatt inverter also comes with a 6000W Solar MPPT, and can charge the batteries with upto 80A to like 4000W AC charging to, and if you were actually going to get 6000W of solar you would definitly be wanting more inverter capacity so at that point you are talking like a maxium of 12,000W solar... which is just dumb.

I used a q-tip to get all the dirt out and air pressure it worked great , then loads of water repellent grease.

That will be interesting to see how that all work out for you. I have 4.5kw PV on my roof [10south facing - 5 west facing] along with a 5Kwh battery. I also have owned an Ev for 8yrs, and also use a Myenergi water heating and car charging system. The whole thing is amazing how it is smart and auto does what it needs to do so I buy as little power from the grid as possible. As for motorbike motivation, the weather here in NI has been Crap since we got back from theTT. I also haven't recorded any new footage in well over a month. But I feel a lot of YT'ers are not putting out as much content as usual based on the current lousy weather. ps we are heading to Wicklow next Thursday for a long weekend of Biking & camping..Hopfully I get some footage from that ...

Hi Noj I'm riding a 2017 BMW R9T that is also shaft drive and I find that even with 110hp the bike feels like it's geared mainly for city (or canyon carving), is the V85TT more suited for highway and feels like its not really a city bike? I'm trying to find a bike that I can do trips and also just jump on and ride downtown (I like that the R9T does not feel top heavy).

Thanks for the video. What's the average fuel consumption (liters/km)? All of you tell us how many kilometers it will travel on a tank. You get gas for free and your only concern is how much goes into the tank? Why u attached this ugly plate under the head lamps? :-)

The hardnott pass is all about clutch control and gearing. My partner rode his Harley fatboy with me on the back, up the hardnott pass with ease. The amount of bikers who drop their bikes riding one up is ridiculous. They are going too slow that's why, and there is no clutch or gear control. We went up it without any problems. 40yrs of experience riding bikes that's how it's done.

We had the pleasure of visiting France back in 2019. Spent time in Normandy and mostly Eastern France. Beautiful landscape. Back in 2016, we visited Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Breathtaking countries. Would love to have done them on a motorcycle. One day... Cheers!

Looks like a great trip. How are you liking your Merlin jacket? I have the Shenstone version with the two utility pockets. I love the look of it but it's a little on the heavy side.

My first bike was a 2021 Himalayan. It's a great value for money and a good bike if you understand what is was designed for. I really love mine. I added a 650 Interceptor to the mix a year after and love that as well for different reasons. Most recently, I graduated up to a V85 TT Guardia d'Onore. Awesome bike! I wanted to get some experience with a bigger bike. The Himi is due to be replaced by a new 450 version but that's probably not going to be available in the States until late 2024. At that time, I'll see where I stand with the V85 and decide to keep that or downside back to the new Himi. Salute!
