I always kept Dubia cockroaches as feeders for my beardie. Super easy to breed, keep, determine sex, etc. My beardie loved them and they come in many sizes as they grow. Super clean too as you didn't need any substrate or anything for them. Couple egg cartons and you were set.

I usually have to wake up at 5:00 a.m. to get ready for work so i prep before I leave and I feed it atleast 3 large dubia roaches when i get back around 5pm so I'm glad I'm on the right track. My question is 3 good enough for should I give it more?

im curious can you use pine shavings for substrate for milks?

I had a mealworm colony, they got mites , I had to dispose all the worms, I want to start another colony , how do you prevent them from getting the mites?

Both of my beardies eat mealworms and they both pooped them out. I've never had a problem with it. But they also get other insects to like crickets dubia but for small babies I don't feed no super worms. Until bigger and older. And use soldier fly larvae. And they do great

How often do I feed ?

Sometimes it is easy for people to criticize whether you know a lot or a little. THIS is a truly informational site and I have learned so much from you both. Thank you very much. I buy about 75 adult crickets at a time and he will eat almost all of that in a week. He gets really excited when he knows I am dropping in adult crickets. Baby crickets die off too fast and he prefers adults anyways. Goes wild chasing them all down .

I feed mine strawberrys. I cut the fruit into small pieces and dice up the dark green leaves on the stems.

I saw a bearded dragon at the pet store I regularly go to for my leopard gecko which I absolutely fell in love with. I'm not too sure of the gender but I think it is a male and it was the biggest one in the enclosure they were housed in (there was only 1 other with him, and it wasn't much smaller but still noticeable enough). I do have a few questions about the information that was provided in this video, specifically about the D3 stuff you've mentioned: My beardie is still a baby (a month or two old), so he's a bit too small for me to feel comfortable taking him outside even just on my back porch because I think he's small enough to fit in the cracks in the wood. I have a calcium+D3 supplement that I use to dust the crickets for my leopard gecko and have been using that same supplement for the beardie's crickets as well. Now my question is, could/should I keep using that Calcium+D3 supplement until he's big enough for me to be comfortable bringing him outside for a bit?

When my bearded dragon sheds she likes to use her water bowl to splash around and help to release her shed. Good or bad?

we got two free dragons off craigslist so we still new at this but we where told to only feed our dragons 10 cricket each once a week that they should be getting more veg and greens then insects is this correct

I live in south africa and I'm getting a bearded dragon but I don't know if I should put a bowl of water in the tank bc the humidity is between 20 to 40 or 50 and how often should I feed them insects

I feel like the pet store owner who was forced to put in a water dish by the ignorant officer should counter-sue. I know that unfortunately, that might be too expensive, but being forced to provide improper care that could be disproven by a quick google search is absolutely unacceptable. ESPECIALLY by the people who’s actual JOB is to keep that kind of thing from happening 😡

My boyfriend has a bearded dragon that he got when it was very young and they told him that it was a female however it turns out that it is a male. I told him that apparently it was too young to accurately find out it's gender😅 so now we have to rename it LOL

I have an Exo-Terra Cricket container. It was working well until ants found their way inside the house. They invade and eat all of the crickets before I even can feed them to my beardie. Obviously I am trying to safely take measures to end my ant problem. In the meantime, what kind of solutions can you recommend so I can continue to feed my dragon?

A ton of information out there but very few actual studies and tests to back up what they said. I have my beardy for a while now. She's healthy with no issues. With a diet of vegies and superworms

Bearded dragons in tropical enclosures makes me think of potential tail rot, high bacteria counts, and necrotic tissue. Oof! Fun fact: strawberries have a higher vit C content than oranges do.

I have a corn snake who’s started laying eggs this morning, she’s never been around another snake before and she’s at least 15 years old so I’m really panicking, she has one that I think she’s been trying to pass for a couple hours now and the only reptile vet in the area isn’t in until tomorrow and I’m waiting to find out if they can see her or not, can anyone please tell me how long I should wait for her to try and pass them on her own before I take emergency measures like this?

Speaking of insects drowning in shallow water. Had placed meal worms on dragons plate of greens. There was a thin layer of water on the plate and some how the water wrapped around the warm and drowned it while out of the water.

I use a medicine dropper and put a drop on their lips. When they lick it off, I put the dropper back to their lips and give them a few more drops. I give them one drop for each tongue lick.
