Appreciate the video. It helps to see other people barely ahead of me. It starts to seem, sometimes, that everyone hit a million subs from day one. It's hard to watch the numbers barely move. Just trying to post what i want to post and hope it finds its way to an audience at some point.

Im a start up. My competitor has asked me to come on board with their business rather than carrying on with my own. Im yet to get my first client. What i decided to do was to find out why they want me on board and theyre struggling. I decided to help them with the aspects they're struggling with because like you i have an abundance mindset, but more than that, as a person im just kind and like to help others. The struggle im finding in the business world though, is that seems to be a distinct lack of trust. People wonder whether there is a hidden agenda and for that i feel sad. I used to work in the care sector and there, most people are just kind givers, the business world is lacking these traits and i hope to change that as i ho forward with my business. Its nice to see that you see this too. I hope more people see this video

I am a new youtuber and I like the way that you shared your experiences and the lessons that you've learned. I know it takes a lot of time, effort and mental energy to create a video. It is best to make videos about the things that one likes and then share it with the world. That way, work will not feel like work. 😊 Creating and sharing content that may help people is always rewarding... spiritually and mentally, if not financially.

YT‘s algorithm sent me here, after I had viewed about 2 other videos by others on the subject of getting started on YT. Your title resonated, as does what you are saying. The funny thing is that none of what you are saying is actually new to me…and yet it is resonating, and helping me to overcome my own inertia as a potential CZcamsr with a busy family life and a certain lack of topical focus (so far), and yet with lots inside of me that wants to be shared. And isn‘t that one of your points, after all? That folks should not second-guess themselves about their „worthiness“ or „readiness“ or whatever, but just go for it and let the audience decide what becomes of it? As such, even if what you are saying isn‘t new to me, you happen to be the one who is tipping the scales. This can be true for ANY one of us, no matter what the topic. :-) Anyhow, I subbed immediately. Oh, and I wish to commend you on being one of the very, very few CZcamsrs whom I am not forced to listen to at 1.5x speed in order to save myself from spending lots of extra time online due to slow talking. Also, there‘s nothing self-obsessed, which cannot be said of a great many CZcamsrs. And no haha-hoho joviality just to set the tone or whatever. You get right down to it, and that‘s great in a world of huge media choices we all need to make so as to use our online time wisely.

Pretty sure this will help a lot of people, me included . I really was motivated and had a lot of ideas on what to talk about, after around 1-2 years I finally started, until then I was too afraid, but when I started I got easily overwhelmed by camera setup, editing, b-roll stock footage, thumbnails and scripts .. and I really got anxious and thought "ok this might be more about setup and scripting ideas but there's no place for my own ideas", even if I knew this might not be true . Videos like this one make me realize it's worth it to keep going, so thank you James !

I remember MKBHD said that you should always make videos which you would watch yourself. And although I do like Ali Abdaal's video production but I also love these simple sit-down videos with no heavy editing. Also because it's difficult to do that on your own haha. So keep it up!
