The slightly older car has an air of elegance to it. The new car is punchy and has an industrial-chic. But the older car has a more sophisticated and refined look.

I was taught "If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything", this has pushed me to the limits of my English politeness, even writing this, makes me feel terrible. So I will say no more, other than if you are happy then that is all that matters.

Well, if the Z4 is in black Porsche always wins. This colour mutes the beautiful and sexy design lines of the E89. I know a lot of people like black but , generally that's what happens. In Mineral Grey however the Z4 is a completely different animal, looks modem and like it hasn't aged a bit. They have very different designs languages however. Z4 was designed to be more modern and the Boxster, more classic and conservatives so that, it won't upset the Porsche enthusiasts ☺️

I've been driving my e89 Z4 for 8 years! Yes, 8 years 🙌🏼. This from someone who used to change car every 18 months. I have the 2.5 straight six and the only thing I've had to have changed in 8 years was a busted coil pack. 😏 I was thinking of changing to the new one, but tbh after having a good look at one here, I think I'll just keep driving mine for another 8 years. 🎉😂😂

Hey I am thinking if I should get the g29 or e89, I am not sure tho, because both designs are fine, I would pay 10 grands more for the g29 with maybe same or a little less kilometer, n new model, but I am a person, I don’t really need all the technical features except from front and back parking help, which I guess the e89 as well offers, but I Definetly prefer the seats of the g29 and overall the impression n vibe of the car is a bit more supreme, I guess. What is your opinion for 2024?:) Thank you!

All BMW Z4 E89's are 6 cylinder. I've had mine (3.0 l) for 8 years and still love it. Try driving it through a tunnel at 50, then drop it down into 3rd and plant your foot. Nice.

A beautiful looking car that has a design that has aged well. Those performance figures are disappointing though, you couldn’t even call that a sports car. Sometimes it’s not about the performance figures, it does look like a lot of fun and theatre.

The change from hardtop to softtop is a step in the wrong direction, i.e. one step backwards. The hardtop convertible has some significant advantages over a softtop one, and looks much better when closed.

Thanks for this video...I can almost feel the excitement over this car.. I must have one. Three years ago, I bought a used BMW 328i coupe. 6 cyl, 3 ltr. Very happy with it. (I did a road trip from Atlanta to Montana..about 2400 miles one-way. Wonderful trip.) A few months after I bought it..I saw a Z4 convertible and knew "This is for me!" It's beautiful! Now I know there's a Red Z4 out there...with my name on it.

While the iDrive with navigation looks cool, on a 12 year old or older car are you not worried about the replacement cost if it packs up? Not many of us keep a laptop or mobile that long as they break.

I own a E63 6 Series and never realised just how much the E89 Z4's rear looks like a baby 6 series. Same shape tailights and rear bumper lip. Still looks great and you clearly love your car.

I prefer the old one. it has longer wheelbase although length is shorter than g29. And it has lower height. In addition to that, e89 has hard top so it's more suited both for closed coupe style and convertible on exterior style wise.

No no no! The A45 is quicker and more powerful on PAPER, that's all, compared to the Audi S4 and S3 having owned both! My A45 is the biggest piece of Shite I have ever owned. Audi is far superior in so many ways!

Nope, the old one looks better than the new. It looks more sleek, has a more classic roadster look. The convertible hardtop is better in winter and overall it has a more sleek, eye-catching appeal.
