As with most things, I'd ask you "what is your goal?" Because if it is just to crack boxes and sell for a profit along side your other product, it is very difficult to buy MTG boxes retail, open and immediately turn a profit. Can it happen, yes. But you probably need to keep an eye on how a set is doing, look for sales from the LGS and places online, and then be strategic with what you buy and what you open. Don't let this one box deter you though, it could just have been a fluke. Enjoyed the vid!!

Lorcana gateway set has better quality pieces and it's cheaper. This one deserved better quality! I do enjoy it for playing solo/co-op. I hope they continue these types of sets yearly (but with better quality) .

I only started last year, but i love painting. Picked up a kit here and there for a couple different factions to do different schemes and see how they feel. Love taking them out and looking st them sometimes

Great video man, this is a really interesting concept for a game. I would be interested in playing it and seeing what I think. I like the liminal setting, I find it a very eerie and off putting genre. I may have to pick this up and see what I think. Keep up the phenomenal work man.

Small Correction to the rules - when engaging an entity, you lose DIH (Cards from "Deck in hand") every round but not sanity

Great video! It took me a little while to come to terms with the solitaire aspect of deck building and why I would want to make more difficult decks. But as you start deck building you’ll realize that the best part of the game is challenging yourself with cards of varying difficulties and mechanics. And the community challenges are an indirect way to challenge opponents. I also recommend the Partygoer theme deck, which is fairly challenging. We will also be releasing an even more challenging deck soon!

My first miniature was a space marine and he turned out better then i had expected, although not perfect i enjoyed the process alot and i looked into ways of improving my painting skills. You just have to enjoy the process and youll get better as you go even if it turns out not the way you wanted, it just means your miniature is not finished anyways just have fun

Don’t worry, you’re doing fine. Have confidence in yourself. Nobody starts out good at painting miniatures. Experiment with color schemes and the models you paint and figure out what you want to do as your army.

An mate of mine got me a Cultist mob for my nonfirmation and I visited him with the box, got them all assembled and my first Cultist turned out beautifully to the point where I was very proud for a beginner. Now I'm getting more into 40k myself, having a few tools of my own and just had an order of paints for Tzeentch Daemons and Chaos Knights.

My first was an ultramarine. I didn’t know about thinning paints at that time so it ended up like a power armor shaped paint ball

good job, gamesworkshop beginnersets are so bad, its super difficult to get a decent paintjob. if you learn about zenithal priming, contrastpaints, washes, drybrushing and some simple detail/highlighting after that much beter result and so much easier

Mine was a primaris starter set and I really enjoyed it. Still have everything ive ever painted. If you're wanting to give up painting tyranids then maybe the painting side isn't for you. Its nothing to worry about.

My forst miniture was a space markne (the same one), then i did a fantasy character with a sword and shield, then plague marine, then ork kommandos, and now im onto a death jester that a friend got me

Awesome video man, this is a really cool concept for a product for a tcg. Sometimes I just want to sit down and play a tcg on my own but you can't do that until now. I think they should have made a cheaper version of this where you can just buy the Ursula deck on its own and play against it with your deck. The more expensive version should be a collectors edition with the deck, and premade decks for you to play with just like they have but made the playmat a neoprene one and made it a bit more of a collectors product. Keep up the incredible work man.

as someone who has bad essential tremor at 23, don't give up! my first few models don't look great looking back on it but they're still something I'm proud of. Thinning down paints is a feeling that you'll figure out. just keep practicing, if your hands are shaky try propping up your wrist against something, even the hand holding the model. last thing is every new model is always an experiment, so don't be afraid to make mistakes!

Glad to see you paint your first mini! I definitely sympathize with the wanting to give up early on/ feeling like it should look better. BUT I think for a first mini ever, not a bad start. I still have mine, and it's a great marker of how far I've come in the hobby, and really nostalgic to put on the table from time to time. Look up some tutorials, I highly recommend people like Ninjon, Squidmar, Miniac, Lyla Mev, and a ton of other warhammer and hobby painters to get your skills up. Excluding the Free paint your first Mini in the WH store, my first completed mini was a Hormagaunt that I picked up from September's MoTM, when I got into Warhammer last July I was abit hesitant about the painting aspect of the Hobby due to the models small size and intricate details. While the finished Hormagaunt in February turned out alright and It wasn't as painful as I thought painting minis would be its still the only model I've painted in nearly 5 months, I've got 10 Termagants, 10 Hormagaunts, a Screamer Killer and a Hive Tyrant sat unpainted since March because I just don't have the patience to continue painting. Plus if/ when I do end up selling the models they'd be worth less painted compared to just built

It was a T'au fire warrior, with a thick coat of primer. It looked very crispy, but I still have it, and I haven't given up painting. Love it to death though, because everyone's gotta start somewhere. (Also, love the contrast purple)

I sell cards on Ebay and have been using the Ebay Standard Envelope system the whole time. Recently, been having issues with what I believe to be a strict postal worker at my local office that does the sorting. I've had a number of orders with a single card in a toploader demanding another $.44 postage due for the customer to pay. Crazy. Curious, do you use the Ebay Standard Envelope system or simply use stamps? If you use the Ebay system and place a shipping label on the envelope, if you need to add an additional stamp(s) to cover "non-machinable" cost of $1.12, do they still scan the tracking that's on the label? Another thing is that if I ship something that is 1 oz, I can actually print up the shipping label for 3 oz that charges $1.12...perfect for covering non-machinable, right? My first mini was a necron, and I have to say don’t give up as your doing pretty good for your first mini, we all have to start somewhere but as you go along you’ll slowly perfect your first paint scheme, if your ever feeling overwhelmed there no shame in taking a break the hobby shouldn’t be stressful as it should be fun and enjoyable

My first Warhammer model was an Eldar Guardian that I painted over 20 years ago. I didn't even prime the model and I think I used some kind of enamel paint. The paintjob was crap, but I still have the model. Once in awhile it's fun to look back and see how far you've progressed.

Battle for Skull Pass, I got the dwarves. They're shit, like shockingly bad - no tones, shading or skill...but they're going nowhere son, as they make my marines look on point! and I still like them!

Yes, I still have it, on my desk at all times and I recommend you do that as well. It was a 3D printed skeleton (FDM as well, so definitely lacking as it comes to quality, but consumer resin printing wasn't actually available). Remember that the main factor in getting good at something is practise. Get a load of miniatures and paint, paint a lot, experiment like it's nobody's business and find your style and groove. I will bet you that a year from now, with regular practise, you will have improved a lot more than you now think is even possible!

Not sure which miniature was my first. I got the Black Templar army box that came out for last edition and I only recently decided to paint the Marschal. So it was either the redemptor dreadnaught, the primaris crusader squad, or the primaris intercessor squad.

My First miniture was way back in 1994 with the free start painting kit from GW's white Dwarf, you cut out the coupon and sent it and they sent you the box with 4 paints and 2 minis 1 was a Space Marine Terminator and a Lizardman Saurce, I Still have the termanator with my Space Wolfs painted from 2nd Ed 40k.

My first was skeletons. Back in 91 i think.. still have them. But they are shattered.. keep it up mate.. it gets alot easier and rewarding. When you have a unit done. The feeling is great… but remember the 50 cm rule.. if it looks good from that distance its great
