I got stung in my thumb once and it literally took over 2 years to heal properly, it would look healed then all of a sudden it wouod just flair up again and pus would come out and it would get infected again and again and again. This old guy told me i needed to put my hand in hot water, literally as hot as i could stand. As close to boiling as possible. I did it and after 15 minutes of doing that it never came back. Was fully healed

Had almost the same injury, but mine got its whole barb in my hand, had to cut it out and go to the hospital to have it removed, still have the scar and my hand is at about 95% after two months, consider yourself lucky and yes that venom is as painful as he makes it out to be lmao
