those are doc martins
An old vet taught me to go over on the bottom eyelets. Then one side go up one eyelet and out/over while going up two out/over on the other side. Continuing up alternating two up one up makes for a series of straight across rows going over that make it easy to get your Ka-bar in there to cut the laces if necessary
