This was run by Coonhound Sugar about an hour before. I couldn’t resist running it with Micah and put an article at the end. I ran this one with Micah in June and just love this layout and the fun obstacles along the way at U of Calgary.

This is a re-run of a track run at 9:50 am this morning. Finn ran it at 1 pm. I am so proud of him. He was at the end of his line the entire time. Blew me away!

Our pass of the day Aug 3 was Magnum, ACD who started with us at 12 weeks! We had an 80 acres field lined up but due to the fire close by and potential evacuation we chose this nature area instead. Winds were strong at 10 am. Track was 50 min aged and 410 m. Magnum ran it in 16 minutes. I laid a track on short dry grass to work on corners. It for very windy and stormy by the time she ran it, plus we had to skirt around a kids soccer team playing all over our last turn! Micah picked the track up to finish. Very proud of her.

Donna - I have noticed that too. Snow and puddles of water will hold the scent so I don't try to keep the working dogs true to the actual track when they want to trail over to those hot spots. Nice!
