Michael Bolotin-Dream While You Can
This is from Michaels debut album which was released in 1975. This LP along with his next one did not sell well. Michael was more of a rocker back before he hit it big on the adult contemporary charts. This beautiful jazzy cut, with David Sanborn on sax is one of my favorites by him. He soon changed his name to Michael Bolton after this LP.
Dream little child, dream while you can
Dream my child, dream while you can
Of everything that I would dream
If I had the time, dream while you can
And fly little child, fly while you can
Fly my child, away while you can
Far out places and new born lands
Fly while you can
And be little child, be while you can
Be my child, free while you can
Anything that you wanna be
Well, it's in your hands
Be while you can
Dream little child, dream while you can
Dream my child, dream while you can
Of everything that I would dream
If I had the time, but dream while you can
Dream while you can
Fly away while you can
Be free while you can
Dream while you can, dream away
Dream away while you can
Fly away, fly away
While you can
Be free, be free
While you still can
Ooh, dream while you can
Fly away, dream while you can

What i always thought about the smothers brothers. The things that got them censored were right at the core of the mechanics of what protects democracy. Ptobably what jefferson understood better than we do now. If you study russia people were afraid of the dogmatic forces that kept communism in power. Its like religion. Where nixon tried to sikence tge smothers brothers war protest for dogmatic reasons. When it was only a killing machine. Theyvwere underrated for their stance against nixon. The human mind is foulable.

One the best 60's song ever written. Two bad experiences came out of this time. My friend Grizzy Johnson was dating a well to do gal in high school. We went to her house, mom told us to wait in the entry way. This was the beginning of the end. My experience (I'm Mexican) and dated a beautiful white girl in high school for 3 or more years. Prom day came, her mom told me to wait in closed door bedroom. Her parents never cared for me and so it ended. Think about her at times? Fred Rodriguez class of 1970 WFH

One of my favorite routines! They had mentioned several times throughout the show about compliments. The big payoff coming in this exchange between Dick and Tom. When Dick finally says, " Well, that happens to be my job, " and Tommy says, " You're doing a good job. " Dick thanks him and Tommy says, " That was NOT a compliment, " the audience erupts with laughter. If you listen closely, you can hear Tom say, " It worked. " They got the reaction hoped for from the setup's beginning. Brilliant!!

"Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country!" Read President John F. There is only one way for man to get back to the garden, and it isn't within the power of man but through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His death defeated the powers of Evil, and His resurrection launched The beginning of the Kingdom of God, which will come down on earth, interlocking heaven and God will physically and bodily live with His creation in a new heaven and new global Eden on earth. Those who die in Christ (death is all man’s most vicious enemy, and we will lose that fight), but the good news is when Jesus appears; we will be raised bodily from our graves and welcome King Jesus in the air and return to the newborn earth purged of all sin and death to live forever with Him, not in a non bodily spiritual state. Our transformed body, as Paul said, “we shall be like Him.” as Jesus resurrection body was where over 500 witnesses saw Him alive, eat, walk, and talk yet at times was unrecognizable, moved through walls and doors as a spirit, yet told the disciple, doubting Thomas, to feel the nail holes in his hands and feet and feel His side where the roman guard pierced Him on the cross to prove He wasn't a ghost but flesh and bone having the kind of body God had “in the Garden” orginally created Adam and Eve to have. A perfect body, never aging, never getting sick, never to die, and having great fellowship with God. Yet God gave man the power to choose. They chose human knowledge over God’s wisdom and knowledge. So, in one sense Joni’s song is right. We got to get back to the Garden, and God’s promise to those who place their trust in Jesus will ultimately get back to the Garden, which will be a new creation of earth but so beautiful and with vocations we will love doing as God’s image bearers, and age, disease, death, will never again enter and only love for God and love for people will forever be.
