I brought my microphone into my coffin/Started dropping raw thoughts with the Grim Reaper knocking on the track Yeah, that one's so impactful. That line represents the Freckled Angels album (I mean, probably tracks that didn't get included on the album too, some of which he's been able to release since and some of which we won't have heard yet) - I know a bunch of (most of?) Freckled Angels was recorded with Sony before he was trapped in bed, but we know from his Chapters readings that Crutch and Pocket Full of Pain were songs he wrote, recorded, and produced to fill the album out, while thinking he was going to die. Other Renegades will know if any of the other songs on the album were also tracks he recorded in the months leading up to finishing it. #MillionsMissing

Ronnie is a gamer, so I'm sure, there are some influences in his music from this.

I have listened to this many times and my appreciation of this song has magnified on each listen. Some of those sounds were made by Ren using the voice of Vera Hall from the sample w2hich Ren bought the rights to use. I think Ren has said that this track ends the Sick Boi chapter of his life and there is a new album on the way.

You are close on the lyrics analysis in a way...Kim said it is about a battle with oneself, therefore about mental illness, which he's been dealing with in his life. (Well worth reading the only interview done with him by Revolver Mag.)

Ren was not dropped by Sony, he wasn't even signed to them, he had a development deal through them via Eric Appapoulay, producer and musician, with whom Ren was making an album with. Ren pulled out of the deal himself when he got ill, and years later Eric gave Ren all the masters to the music they had already made, no charge, no questions, so Ren could make his first album, Freckled Angels. Have you ever heard Die Antwoord? They haven't done a whole lot in the last couple of years but one of my favorite songs of theirs from like 10 years ago called Ugly Boy. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I think you might like it/them. Also they are from S. Africa and there was a lot of controversy over them because of how they were 'representing' their country, etc.. Quite interesting actually.

I mentioned in the Drown comments that I didn't think this was quite up to KD standards. It's weird because it is one of those songs that I was kind of like "eh" the 1st time I heard it, but every time I listen to it, it grows on me a little more.. ya know!?!? Every time I hear it, though, I get this part of the chorus stuck in my head. I do love how versatile he is with his voice and I just his voice in general. He's got 2 videos left. Super Hero is one. The very first time I watched that, I was like "um.. what exactly is happening with this 'super hero' and little girl!?!" But it wasn't actually what I thought, it touches on another subject. The other song is Death Before Designer feat SosMula. The problem with that song, after you've heard other KD songs is that it's kind of missing something, imo. I have listened to it multiple times and I do like it but it feels more like it was the other groups song/music, instead of his. Anyways, if you think of it that way, it isn't a bad song it's just not KD level good. I haven't actually listened to the whole album because I always have my playlist on shuffle, but every time his music comes on, even if I haven't heard it before, I know it's him.. lol He kind of gained notoriety because of his Lady Gaga cover of Paparazzi, it was used all over TikTok, in case you didn't know.

If you look into SOSMULA he did a song a while ago ft.Kim Drac, can't remember the name of it sorry lol

He made this song when he was feeling homesickness after immigrating to US from the Philippines. He basically was talking to his beloved country “ let me settle myself before I come back home to you”.. this could easily pass as a musical scoring in a big screen but what’s dope about this song is from composition of lyrics, arrangements to melodies was all done by him in such a young age in his bedroom on his iconic bunk bed with zero budget. From his amazing vocals to production to playing multiple instruments..this dude never fails to impress me.
