Confidence and trust so far with gear are just as hard as the physical mechanics. I thought it was really nice to see you with a Prusik and hitch climber and doing this professionally without any gadgetry, that's kinda where I'm at in my gear investment so now I don't feel like I need fancy stuff, just way more practice. Your self-evaluation at the end of the video was great. Thanks for revealing your thoughts. Smaller piece, second rope or adding a second block are all great suggestions. I'm intrigued with the idea of the second block. It would only work if the block were attached to the piece with something larger than 20mm. That's the one piece of rope that would still have the full force on it.

    • @totaratree99
      @totaratree99 Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks. Yes the second rope and block was just a thought. Two blocks with two separate ropes. To work well both ropes would have to receive load at the same moment otherwise one would only be a backup to the other, which might have saved it. Might try this one day but the risk is the ropes twisting and then snagging.
