Wow!
Really nice. One Ford Motor Company best designs of the 1960's. The level of detail on car's restoration is great. I love cars from the 1960's and 1970' s.
Beautiful resto work !! I prefer the steel wheels & caps over the heavy, troublesome wire wheels. Beautiful BRG/Tan color combo! Did you use the 3-main bearing engine or a '67 5-bearing? I had a '67 B-GT that I loved.
Mine is a late 64 First to come with a five main eng. First registered Feb 65. Wire wheels and Iris Blue (original color)
L💝ove!
What type of paint and color code did you use? I am restoring a 1967 MGB and I loved the color and finish you achieved on the 1964. Writing from Franklin, TN
Good job, the restoration of this car is a better idea
Yes it's usually always less expensive to buy an already restored car than do-it-yourself but what a project and what a beautiful job! Keep them on the Road!
good job and faithful to the original
Bach Brandenburg concerto no. 2. Sounds like Wynton Marsalis playing trumpet.
This will cost way more than the car will ever be worth I would never do this
I would not want to do this in finance this project you’re gonna have way more money into the project in the car I’ll ever be worth
68 was definitely my favorite year for this body style, and kudos to the restorer for spending some time aligning the headlamp doors, that front end looks great!
Chulisimo!
This car has elements of 4 different cars, the fastback roof of the 65 mustang, the rear quarter window of the 69 mustang, the hidden headlight grill the 68 charger used but the mesh came from the thunderbird, and the body line that kinks over the back wheel like it does on the 70’s challenger!!!! Very underestimated this car is!!!!!! I reckon it would look Stink as with big tyres a 429 boss and lowered, mate sex on wheels!!!!!!! Love it!!!!
It's perfect just like. A period correct restoration. I prefer a vintage car like this one. No big wheels, please.
Next time, show us an LTD!
Prefer steel wheels over wire.
MY 1964 has wires, my 1963 had steel wheels now Minilites.
interesting design for the machine!😮👏 I like that they show a beautiful and restored Galaxy, and in the back there is Sebring with a regular muzzle😂
As a teenager I bought a red 68 Galaxie fastback, black interior from the owner of a local funeral home owner. Fifty dollars . Repaired a rusted out frame and many small repairs gave me a fantastic car. What a beautiful ride.
Awesome restoration
Oh what a blessing it would be to own that restored MGB.
Wonderful
It is so rare to see galaxies. Earlier yes, but late 60s are hard to find. Which is odd vs. Impalas. Few people make parts for big Ford's so this must be a very hard resto.
That loos like earlier than '64 - Jaeger Guages abd Rocker cover breather?
It's absolutely beautiful, the MGB is one of my favorites. Totally impressive work!!!
Gorgeous. Love the music used.
Spent $30k and end ended up with a $20k car.
Some things cannot be limited by a dollar figure.
Wonder how long it took. BTW I guess it's doesn't qualify as a "restoration" if you don't keep the original air in the tires. LOL
Awesome
Beautiful ! Love it
This year model was one of the most beautiful orig. designs Ford HAD EVER produced. The restoration looks like an amazing accomplishment.
I have to ask...did you manage to find or rebuild the original vacuum headlamp door system, or did you convert it to electric motors?
Why go to that expense in restoring the car and put the wrong front valance on the car?
What a lovely little car
Nice restoration job on this Ford Fastback, although I prefer the original hub caps, but the mags are ok as well.
God those cars had presence. What a beautiful job.
Wrong wheels. Carpet & the piece under the grill should be silver.. My 1st Car in 1968
Where did you find parts? Restoring 1970 lx 429 v4
I don't like Ford's but that's a nice car my dad had a wagon like that.
What beautiful sports car. Thumbs up.
They were certainly a rot box like most of the vehicles of that time, my dad had a new Ford Corsair in 1965 and in four years the chassis and front flitch panels were rotted through and he had had it under sealed from new by the supplying Ford Dealer, we patched it up and got rid of it. All manufactures had the same problems with rust at that time, it's nice to see these older MGs being restored with new bodies being fitted to extend their life and if Waxoiled should last a lifetime.
My Dad (before I was born) had a MG-TD, then (after I was born), a MG-A. My oldest brother had a New (from factory) '71 or '72 MG-B (we time and distance rallied in it). I learned the finer points of shifting after practicing in a '64 Corvair convertible. Finally I had a '72 MG-B that I had painted from a dark green to a British Racing Green like my brother was. ;-)
Your brother was British Racing Green ?
Yes, that's what he told me.
This is love ! 👏👏👏👏
And in America we renovate a hood without removing such simple things as emblems, same shitty work on rest of car? Overhauled = Overpainted
In my humble opinion, this is the most beautiful full-size body of the 1960s (or any decade). What a sleek profile ... and what a loving restoration!!! Thanks for sharing.
I agree 100%
Phillip you got any videos of Jaguar restoration? PS are the generator aluminum bracket ends are supposed to be painted or left unpainted showing the aluminum?
OMG! The music was so freakin Gay that I started thinkin about gettin highlights put in my hair. How about some “normal” music next time? Good job on that Ford though. 👍
Great job ! Hope you kept the original color after spending all that time to put her in a concour conditions . .
Doesn't appear that this company has grasped the meaning of the word restoration.
Not remotely concours.. not even close. And, of course< repainted the typical, and boring, one of the many variants of "British Racing Green", which the MG factory never raced.
@@hillarylevenworth8824 Clueless on many levels.
@@melindamanthey2757 Bravo MM. The escalating misuse of the word "restoration" is a cancer to the hobby.
Great job guys, but like the previous 'comment' it is a shame you didn't keep her original colour of Iris Blue, that is where the value is. I had a 64 Iris Blue roadster and what a joy she was in that colour instead of the trad BRG and Red! She was a standout at the shows.
Mark Nelson I have one in blue was late husbands retirement project not sure how much worth plus have it left on ramp with engine out suggestions on value has broken windscreen and some rust.
Mark.. Completely agree. IRIS BLUE ( BL 12) was one of the most beautiful colors to grace an MGB. Sadly many were repainted because the owner must have a "British Racing Green" car and of course MGs were raced. FACT. MG factory NEVER used British Racing Green There have been 4 British Racing Green variants over the years. The best looking green was Brooklands which is not a Brit Racing Green. Though raced by Jaguar. MG factory raced RED cars.. check out Le Mans 1964-65.. RED RED RED all three. When those three cars came to the US in 1965 to race SEBRING, two cars were repainted, one stayed red. The other two were painted IRIS BLUE and OLD ENGLISH WHITE ...Red White and Blue. All of the factory works rally cars were also red NO British Racing Green. The other sad repaint color is commonly known as "RESALE RED" AKA Look at Me , Look at Me Red I have a 1964 IRIS BLUE MGB and a 1963 Red MGB.
