The International Institute for Restorative Practices (the IIRP), located in Bethlehem, PA, is the world’s first accredited graduate school that specializes in studying the field of restorative practices, providing education, research, & consulting services.
At the heart of restorative practices is the understanding that human beings are instilled with the need to connect and grow with each other. The IIRP supports students and community leaders with the tools they need to transform relationships and effect change within their own lives as well as within public and private K-12 educational institutions, public and private four-year residential colleges and universities, non-governmental agencies (NGOs), & community-based organizations (CBOs). Through strong academic offerings combined with a real-life approach to education, the IIRP helps mend issues & makes resilient and meaningful relationships thrive.

Esto es muy interesante, ojala pudan subtitular en español sus videos, pues es un grave problema es desconocimiento del ingles, yo fui muy afortunada en asistir a su centro en pensilvannya, fue una experiencia reveladora, ahora estamos llevando a cabo programas basados en PR, con adolescentes, en conflicto con la Ley o en riesgo de estarlo, no contamos aún con muchos recursos, sin embargo, la respuesta de los jóvenes ha sido maravillosa, gracias Arcelia Ibarra

acually there is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a knife to school. The only reason zero tolorance is used is as a precaution to things that people could do with that knife. So when the lady was talking about the kids understanding why doing things against the zero tolorance policy is wrong it kinda pisses me off, because zero tolorance is a precaution, therefor not directly related to moral offensses
The primary purpose of Restorative Justice conferencing is to meet the needs of the victim, this video shows how conferencing can do with even in the most horrific of crimes - Very moving video
A powerful story and an extrordinary event. The whole restorative process is a great concept. It won't bring Michael back, however it is a chance for everyone to get things off their chests and begin to move on. Watch the whole movie if you get the chance
