I'm 11 years old. I live in the city as I have been for a few years. I've mostly lived in the suburbs. As I did, I never got the time to sit down and read a book. During 2018 - 2020, I've sat on my device shelterd from the world. My father died in 2020. I'm typing this in 2023, of course, but i found this book - the house in the Cerulean Sea in 2022 in wallmart. Of all places. As a pansexual trans mask person. Finding a book that features queer characters made me extremely happy. I've read a lot since then. When I do, of course, when I grow up. I, too, am hoping to be an author and make people happy. Your book made me feel si meny emotions. Anger, joy, sadness. I even shredded a few tears. I thank you very much and all the people involved in your writing, and I will be reading more of your books. Many 'happy sighs' here that you hoped for! Such an unusual relief to read a whole novel that makes serious points & doesn't just rely on violence or explicit sex to maintain interest. So warm, touching, fun & encouraging! A delightful read.

I recently came across his book Sometimes People Die. I have not finished the book, but I love it. I could read it cover to cover but I am pacing myself because I will miss his voice (so to speak) when I turn the last page. Now I will go back and read his other books. I am intrigued by this book Let Not the Waves of the Sea.

we enjoy his books in our family so much. His books cross 3 generations in our house. My grandfather reads them 1st, passes them to my dad, then I get them next. I can't wait to be able to pass them on to the following generation. He has the most wonderful "sucks you right in" writing style.

great presentation, I can listen/read Margaret and her team at Black Agenda Report all day and night, and I hope her book and interviews like this inspires a Latin leftists, Indigenous leftist, Queer or feminist or anyone from a colonized group to do a book assessing critically the legacy of all the president and not just for the US but Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France and so fourth

I read Nowhere Girl in two days. It was riveting and so very deeply touching. I love the way that Cheryl portrayed her family -- the truth enveloped in respect and love. I am amazed by Cheryl's resilience. My heart goes out to her and her mother and even to her father, and I am glad she was able to tell her story.

An amazing read, and an important story of history, but more importantly, our world today!

Just finished reading "Nowhere Girl". I was captivated from page one on. I was amazed at Cheryl's bravery in telling her story. I believe in you telling your story you will help countless people and families who live in difficult situations. I look forward to reading Cheryl's other books. The book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. My emotions shocked me. I had to put the book down just to get myself together after reading a passage. I was on the edge with the turn of each page. Mr. S. A. Cosby please keep writing. This needs to be a movie!!!! P. S. I would love for you to follow up with the story of Eric's family (baby Anthony). Why was Eric in a jewelry store when he was so broke he couldn't pay attention?
