we need the next soulsborne to have the deflect mechanic, making such a good combat mechanic and not using it out of one game would be a shame

I love Sekiro. But I hate all Dark Souls games, and Er. The roll combat stuff is garbage.

Sekiro I'd easier

My main issues is the controls sekiro feels like the newer game with better controls. Quick step is better imo that’s why I like bloodborne . Also the deflection mechanic makes dealing with bs easier

Hollow Knight is more difficult

elden ring is literally just a bigger verrsion of dark souls 3. the so called weapon variety you speak of and the "world design" its all been done before its an expanded regurgitation . sekiro is truly unique and is definitely superior in ever way. by a mile

Bro really had the audacity to say ER's combat is as good as Sekiro's. It isnt mate. Its not even remotely close. Sekiro by far not only has the best combat system in soulsborne but also in all of gaming

The fact that I remember each and every boss name of sekiro even the mini ones but not even remember some main bosses from ER says a lot to me.

Have to disagree, It doesn't matter how powerful phones are these days the games are still awful and porting good games to phones ruins the experience witch is why so few make it over. Also the pricing for those ports is ridiculous 20 bucks for FF IX or FF Tactics when you can go on psn and pay 5 for the same games.

I know I’m in the minority but Hk felt too big and bloated the pacing was just too slow for this style of game .

I think Hollow Knight is probably the better game objectively, and the bosses are easily my favorite in any game, but idk Ori Will of the Wisps is very special to me. It was much easier for me to get into and was the game that got me into metroidvanias. Ori feels like a comfort game to me while Hollow Knight is the kind of game that gives me a nearly impossible challenge to grind

Fun fact: you will not find any video comparison of Hollow Knight and Ori where Ori wins, because Ori is actually better. HK fans is like avarage fans trying to proove their game is better while Ori fans is a quiet avarage enjoyers ;)

Both good but Cornifer makes Hollow Knight better, Cornifer is the kind of character to have a hum that is instantly recognizable and can make people hyped

I am kinda glad im in the minority which one of these 2 I prefer. Fuck your dumb souls mechanics shoehorned into every genre that people get to use ‘get gud’ as their goddamn Internet personality for. I grew up on NES and the cheap cop out repeated mechanics borrowed from fromsoft is just annoying and stale. Ori is outright fun and HK feels like punching into work. Plus also too: play HAAK if you want an incredible metroidvania

I have both games and they are both amazing. Sekiro is more my style. I'm a working adult that doesn't have time to endlessly explore. I never finished Elden Ring due to that fact. The game was too long for me.

The Pros: -Incredible graphics -The robot twins The cons: -LITERALLY every other aspect of the game. I'm serious, this game was such a letdown, and a chore to play. It's like if you took BioShock, removed everything good about it, mucked up the good aspects, and put it right back into the game.

Does anyone else just get the feeling where you just get tired of people complaining about bad reviews on good games and just want them to just flat out just accept criticism And agree with it? People need to understand just because somebody criticizes a good thing that they like It's not a personal attack on them and you don't need to defend it with your life. And no matter how great a game is,some people are just not gonna like it for one reason or another.

you could argue with astel, that you are simply not meant to chain multiple melee attacks… and it doesn’t make it easy with a or some attack patterns you can memorize over time due to it imbued randomness. On that regard the fights are more reactionary whereas in Sekiro you beat em with intellect in ER you either read them in real time (which is f'n harder than memorizing Sekiros attack patterns but then again in ER you can simple wait for the enemy and punish him instead of out beating him in a true warriors fashion 😅 it’s really difficult to determine which game is more difficult… I guess it depends on the player but then again, ER has so much build variety especially all the viable range builds, I assume it inevitably becomes easier no matter how much effort they put in balancing, although I would easily argue, if you couldn’t respec in ER and boss HP would somewhat scale with yours if your lvl us higher it would easily become the more difficult game. But that is if, so I guess ultimately Sekiro is more difficult 😊

I do think that soul of cinder is pretty easy for a first boss, but I still think hes great, and is even my favorite boss of all time (which I guess isn't that high of an accomplishment)

I wish that sekiro had atleast half the world size of elden ring, not design, ancient japan is fantastic but it feels kind of feeble compared to er's open world. They can also work on atmorshperics and colours a bit.
