USB printing worked but “wireless” and “WiFi direct” stopped with a message “The Printer is Busy”. Really @#$&*(!! --> after several frustrating hours, resetting things, rebooting everything (nothing worked). Finally today, I did a printer reset from the menus Try this ----> [Menu, All Settings, Reset, Machine Reset, Ok] <------ Not Factory Reset….. After that you will have to reconnect your network using setup wizard and put in your WiFi password - if it’s like mine, wireless printing will start working again🤞 Hopefully it stays.

In mobile app there are no RCD template.

I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great czcams.com/users/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.

Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi

When I add several blocks it doesn't cut those in half.

This damn printer is nothing but a damn headache. Everytime the power goes out the thing will not print from our phones and it's so infuriating. Make your 💩 work better! It's connected to our wifi but it still says printer not available when we try to print.

If you wanna headache stick around, if yu wanna earn anything go elsewhere. About as much use as a bowl of vomit.

I own 2 of these printers and it took me a while to work out how to create my own consumer unit label. This video is awful and doesn’t help at all. Rcd boards are a thing of the past as well now

TTL is set wrongly in firmware. It disconnects too quickly. It needs a longer TTL (time to live). DHCP needs to be configured to reconnect to a fixed IP address. Basic networking. It is a pity the manufacturer is so useless re networking skills. Maybe they need to get their engineers to be trained on networking technology.

I only want to print address labels for Christmas. I have a broth printer and the software for address and design that came with it. Great software but now I use a Mac and there is no equivalent or as far as I can figure a way to transfer the addresses I have on my pc to maybe numbers or pages. Probably can get drivers. This software here is fine for individual crested lavels

These printers have a wifi problem. All my devices cannot print from the printer even when it says its connected to the bloody wifi! This is clearly a firmware issue and its ruining my workflow. NEVER AGAIN buying a crap printer like this. Even my cheapest ever Canon printer never had issues like this. A farce

I own this model of Brothers printer it was acquired after my sister passed. I don't know how to replace ink cartridges ! In , it's current state it just print in black in ! No color at this time , could this printer be converted to copy with colored ink ? The model is a MFC-8950DW

Single handily the worst experience I have ever had setting up a printer. You guys really need to update your drivers.

I just received a Brother Cartridge and included was a mailing label. It does seem a bit odd to put it on the packaging box which is covered in the icons and other print as the label seems lost in all that packaging print. Also, the label looks incomplete to me having only a zip code and above that written, 'Smart Label Returns, Parcel Return Service' and nothing more. Maybe when I take it to the post office and they scan it that will tell them what they need to know. If this works however, I will be pleased. We need these sorts of services in the US for products like this. What we really need are products that are easily repaired and/or serviced rather than throw away. The, 'planned obsolescence' model is the epitome of short-sided and reeks of greed.

Does not work. Sometimes there is no "All records" option. Just get a chinese printer, no point of paying extra for this half-baked piece of junk. The software does not check for multiple records before opening the print dialog and sometimes after adding the database you therefore have no such option. It baffles me how untested the product is. Its not like its a new machine or software.

To anyone who has encountered the error "535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted." The less Secure App feature is now gone, but you can use the APP PASSWORD Feature instead. It worked for me. To do this, 1. go to your google account and then turn On the 2-step Verification. 2. Then, on the "Search Google Account bar," type "App Passwords" and then click "App Passwords." 3. Then, it will require you to log in again. 4. Select the app and device you want to generate the app password for. In this case, select "Mail" and then "Other" to Customize a device name. 5. Lastly, click GENERATE. Use this as your SMTP-AUTH Account Password instead of your regular Gmail password.
