Very good video Neil 👌Loved watching it 🤩💯
Thankyou Graham 👍😊
When the sunlight catches a kit of pigeons it's like they sparkle. Must admit I did chuckle at the cock (I assume) strutting his stuff, but I was also thinking "get your butt fan through that trap already"
Trapping well
thankyou 👍😊
Just joined enjoyed watching your videos this morning looking good chris swansea
Thankyou Chris much appreciated 👍😊
The birds look well and they look fit our mate hope they do good for you the taping was great they no you now very good
Their Getting their im happy enough with that 😊👍
Good video mate keep it up 👍 nice to see the younger generation so keen
Cheers their yes i sure agree more of the younger ones involved the better 😊👍
Some great trapping from your birds, good luck with your results Neil
Cheers Tony they did trap good this week last week id fuelled them alittle to much and wasnt as easy lol 😊
@@neilpratt43 looked great seeing them come in dropping out the sky keep them coming mate
Looks great all the birds trapping on your call mate good luck.
theirs a couple of micky takers but they will come in line 😊👍
@@neilpratt43 Great work so far mate
Nice big team ther neal starting to switch on now how lucky to have a helper wating for them tack care mate
cheers their getting their but long way to go still after underestimatimg how many young birds i would need last year i opted to double the amount especially with having more space now
try getting the fly out of them before a chuck & keep them really hungry & have the corn waiting for them in the loft .they should be fighting to get through the trap mate 👍
Thats Great Advice i will do that next time and see if it helps i think they need to go out further as their beating me back everytime last years youngsters where 5 mins slower
@@neilpratt43 hope you don't think I'm trying to teach you how to suck eggs but your training them how to trap for the rest of their racing career. you don't want to be wasting them chucks. atb
Love you from Bangladesh
Thankyou 👍😊
Always a thrill to look at the sky and see your birds coming in
i agree ive looked at them all my life in a loft show or in a nest bowl but rarely got to see them flying and im enjoying it
nowt wrong with the trapping 👍 what system you flying.
well ive got them split up but flying both sexes ive only a small team old yearlings so sort of a roundabout system id say
Very good we happy for you
Thankyou 😊👍
well done neil good trap
Thanks Gary they trap decently just to slow hopefully as oldbirds they improve next season 😊👍
@@neilpratt43 abit of sun on there back might help
Great video as always Neil. How far do you start off there training and how far do you take them before the racing starts mate ? Do you take the birds say 20 miles along the race line so with you being up north do your birds fly from the south ?
hia their i started at 2 miles this year then 4 ,6,8,10,14,20,30 once im 10 miles out i will stop spreading and just stick to single line up to the 30 then every other day at 30 threw out the race program
@@neilpratt43 How far is the longest race for your birds
@@tonypeters9763that would be maidstone for the young birds 256 miles adults its eastbourne 280 miles
OK thanks forvthe update and good luck with the young bird season look forward to the race videos
another great video Neil. Y/Bs are looking really well mate What do you put in the bath for the birds and how often do the have the bath per week ? Looks like a great set up you have there mate. Good luck for the race season
ive been putting baths in 3 or 4 times a week at moment but that will drop to 2 times once racing starts thurs/sun weather permitting im useing cest pharma bath salts best one ive used
Thanks for the update Neil your birds are looking well mate
Great information in this video Neil is this normal how often would the birds be treated during the year or is it on a need basis
i only treat birds if their needed and only after dropping tests or if things where not right
@@neilpratt43 OK thanks 😊
How much of the feed do you give them per bird Do you have a measure to feed the correct amount per bird Great video again Neil
Hia yes i give them 1.5 ounces per day split into 2 feeds i weighed it out on digital scales and have a measure cup and a spoon i mix as i need
Great idea Neil do the lights run off the solar panels mate what's the hole set up of solar panels lights and usb set up cost and is it easy to fit ? Great video as always
yes it runs 6 led lights which are very low wattage their run from a 100watt solar panel and a twelve vault battery i will upgrade the battery when winter comes so im covered cost wasnt alot dont think ive spent 100 quid all in
Thats a great idea and works really well 👍
well done on the build Neil its looking great so far Any update on this loft ? Did you build everything yourself was this your design ? Great job and hope the birds do well in there for you mate
hia their yes i built this mysekf in march of 2024 its still not finished i need to complete inside with some sections but time and funds caught up with me will finish it after the young bird season now
Hi Neil, wow you have some Y/Bs there mate did you get them all from the same stud / breeder was it someone you know and are they from good stock on a rough guide what price would they cost to start off with and what numbers would you say people would need to start off ? Great video keep posting mate
i bought a kit from premier of 30 birds and bred 40 from my own stockbirds which i dont have many but floated them under feeders to increase their numbers these ybs are the ones im training i moved them over once id finished other shed
OK thanks for that Neil good luck with them
when you take the birds out for a training toss do you go on line with where they would be racing from Great video again
i try and spread the tosses out in an Arc first then when i get out past 10 miles i try and keep them on a line but where i live the wind has alot to do with where i train them from
great video again good luck for the season hope the birds do well for you
Your so right, I have had many different type of bird but never pigeons and all birds give off a dust which is not good to us so yes very good tips with the masks
i think when we are younger we dont think about these things or how serious it is but wearing a nask is one of the best bits of advice we can hive to any one 👍😊
you have some great looking birds there Neil. Great to see how to get the birds interested before going to the race. Hope you have a good season mate
Cheers for that their in great condition but not the best racers but they will improve Health condition feeding and motavation ive found are the key elements location and winds with a bitta luckis also needed 👍😊
@@neilpratt43 the motivation side of things is that putting the pairs together for about 10 minutes before the race ? Is this done though out the race season any other motivation tips
just come across your video Neil, great to hear you speaking through the process from start to finish as the birds come home. I've been very interested in getting pigeons for a good while now I've been trying to get as much information on breeding and racing side of thing, clubs and how the clock system works. I have subscribed and will be following now mate good luck for the season
Thankyou for that its much appreciated and if i can help in any way let me know always happy to help Good luck 👍😊😊
Thanks Neil look forward to watching more of your videos very interesting to watch your birds but also how you explain what your doing and why
Hope you have some luck with them neal take care mate
Thankyou its much appreciated 😊👍
Looks like you’ve had a hard season … quite a depleted team there.DC birds have been teeming in every week on these easy fast races (only had one tricky race)
Only started with 21 and lost 6 only all season i do however have a few on the bench with hawk attacks
good luck with them…get the feed right and you’ll close the gap on the winners (feeds everything)
@jock2109 cheers for that yer thats an area im struggling with two many decades feeding fancy pigeons with a shovel but im getting their 😊👍
aye foods poison as well as nutrition… over or underfeed and you’re not in the race.I flew 40 years in the DC and was lucky enough to top the combine 4 times but was brought up in a family of pigeon men so got taught at an early age
good stuff mate training from all directions at 1st gets them using their brains. i always used to trap them to a few peanuts (they love them) 👍
Hopefully it pays off i did this last year to and helped with losses when racing started 👍😊
Keep training them they do good for you they will no home and your voice we hope you do good in the raceing we will love to buy some young birds next year can't wait all the best our mate
Thankyou i will hopefully keep everyone updated 👍😊
You got some stunners there bud some chapions in the making bud
Thankyou im really pleased with them this year i had a lot at different ages last season which was a bit of a pain this year their all pretty much the same age
👏👏👏❤
Looking good. Good luck this season!
Thankyou its much appreciated

@neilpratt43 looking forward to watching more. I'm Chris, use my wife's log in 🤣🤣 from Liverpool. Do you direct water and electric on the allotment?
