Hi guys In the UCL I think Xavi git his tactics wrong specially against Inter. There was no need to play with such a high line all the time. I’m very impressed with Christensen. He should be the third centre back. Balde is a beast. Dembele is hot and cold. Ferran is a toothless lion but his buildup play is good. The refs? Who are these people? Who di they get away with murder?

This is not Barca, 90% of these players don’t have the Barca level. I was watching the 2004 Classico under Rajkaardt, there was no Messi, no tiki taka. The way Edgar Davids and Ronaldinho boss that midfield, Puyol was a beast played with his heart and Valdesjept making unbelievable saves.. where is that now? These players we have now will get nowhere near the old Barca. It’s sad that we have fallen so much. I don’t know what made Lewandowski chose this Barca but we are so lucky.

Honestly guys after the lost to Inter, el Classico has lost its value. For me it’s logical that you can’t play Raphina and Dembele upfront at the same time cuz none of them can score. We used to gabs 3 up fronts that could score eg MSM now one. Fati should start and that’s a no brainer. Defence is a disaster. If h know ur defence is that bad then play a high line. do this when u have gave Araujo and Kounde healthy. To me we list to Ilan because of Xavi.

We had a slow start, a bit disjointed. We only came good after the red card. Let’s face it, Kessie should have been sent off, so we were lucky. Sometimes us Barca fans get too ahead of ourselves. We have to remember that for the last 3 seasons during these type of games vs lower half of the table/relegation teams we used to struggle to break them down and create chances. They used to always hit us on the counter and cut through us easily. So yes even though THIS SEASON these are easy sides to beat, it still doesn't take away from how tough it was to win vs teams like these in the last few seasons. To me that is a massive positive and makes me feel very optimistic. I'm not too worried about getting bigger tougher "tests" because these "easy" matches are already a test for me and we are 100% passing the test compared to recent years.

This isn’t a result we deserve, but when you keep wasting opportunities in game against Bayern, you would got penalty. I’m still proud of Barca’s performance today, but I think there are two big issues that need to be addressed. First one is how the defense handle the high intensity. Secondly I think our attacking rely too much on Dembele and Raphinia. Still long way to go, and hopefully they won’t be negatively affected by this loss.

Nice job guys. Adam raised a very interesting point, the midfield. I think our front line is comparable to the old Barca. I think our cvs are better than the old Barca: Kounde and Araujo. Left back and right back are lacking. The midfield, that’s where the problem is. Pedri while good isn’t Iniesta. Busquests isn’t the prime Busquests. The most important is the guy that runs the midfield, the one that controls it all, the boss - Xavi. That’s merge missing part. That’s while our midfield is disjointed especially against teams that pressure us. We don’t have that player, I won’t whether B Silva can do it or Messi sitting deeper. Anyway guys what do u think?

Hey guys, great job as usual. I’m not sure what to say about Lewandowski, my favourite Barca played by far and I hope he’s happy here. I really impressed with Kounde, 4 assists in 2 matches..wow. Now Dembele, what was he thinking not passing to Lewandowski? What must Lewy be thinking? Then Ferran…the less said the better. Other than that.. Alba being benched which is music to my ears. Stegen was always great it’s just that he was injured. Xavi is doing well. I feel that sometimes when things aren’t working, he doesn’t quite know what to do, like when Sevilla were dominating. I still think De Jong should start ahead of Gavi. Fati should come in ahead of Ferran. The back four should change to: Balde Kounde Araujo Bellerin. Eric is doing well but not a starter.

This first thing I’m waiting is your podcast, great analysis. It’s a game worth to be proud of but there’s still long way to go. And btw I always believe FDJ deserve more playing time since he played pretty well with Pedri last season and his role is different from Gavi.

The key to getting the best out of Dembele is to try and sign a replacement💀 Ferran Torres was supposed to be his replacement, didn’t work🤷🏾‍♂️ Adama Traore was supposed to be his replacement, it didn’t work 🤷🏾‍♂️ Raphina seems better than the last two.. but still Dembele has levelled up again. And arguably has a higher ceiling

We need to think about our RB situation, not saying Araujo and Kounde are not good, but I would love to see them paired together at CB as opposed to one of them playing RB, if we have a natural RB they can thrive in their best position. Foyth was an option Barca have been looking at but he came of injured today. Wether we get him or not, hopefully he is ok.

I think Xavi always starting Gavi because of pressing, and Frankie hugs the ball too much, Xavi wants that pass and move midfielder.

Araujo definitely looked lost that first 60 minutes of the match! Hopefully Xavi gets it together and quits this RB experiment.
