Born and raised in Paterson however; my parents had a summer home right on the lake. We spent every summer there. When I grew up moved there and lived till 1978. This brings me back to my youth and memories I will never forget.i am 77 yrs. Old now and live in Melbourne Fl. Thank You for this video it warms my heart.
I’m disappointed… no Hunterdon or Warren Counties.
If you visit my channel you will find a number of different videos that go through both Hunterdon and Warren Counties. I also have a few more Warren County videos that will be posted in the coming weeks. 🙂
@@markmillerstudios thank you! I will check out your program listing. DH&I moved our family from Hunterdon County to near Mammoth Cave, Kentucky in 1988. Our kids were 10 y.o., 6 y.o. twins, and a 5 month old. This area of Kentucky continues to remind us of Hunterdon County when we were growing up(very rural).

Thank you so much for your beautiful work, taking the time to capture all this footage around NJ. Brings back lots of wonderful memories. Can you do one of White lake in Hardwick township, NJ at some point?
Hide away Pizza in the 60’s and 70’s.
I moved from he lake in 73. Is the golf course that was between Landing and the state park still there?
It would be incredible to get the actual route on a driveable map link!
I was born in Newton. Hope to return someday.
At 11 pm one 2018 winter night with burnt out license plate light, had a PA State Trooper follow me from PA 611 Kintersville thru Reagelsville, over this Delaware River bridge on my way to my job in Alpha NJ. The PA Trooper actually crossed the bridge behind me before turning around on the NJ side on front of Hoots Bar, the big white, square building at the bridge exit. Next day I fixed the burnt out plate light!
Lived here for over 50 years.....Jogged and walked along all these roads for many, many years and miles....It's a beautiful town....
I was there and I remember it well! 🎉
What beautiful weather it was this day in 2022 on the Island ! Thanks for this, love Long Beach Island!
I live here....Walk along Rt 10 nearly everyday to keep fit.....I know every building....
My mother and father had a dance school in Dover in the 60’s and early 70’s. North Jersey School of Dance Arts. It was a brick building with at least 3 floors and a barber shop on the street level. One block away was a really good sub shop. Can’t remember the name. We moved from NJ in 73.
I lived many years ago looks the same fun times
Thank you for the tour of my childhood, early adulthood area. Now much older and separated from the northeast for 33 years but still holds a place in my heart
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
As before, thank you for reconnecting me with my home of 52 years. I'm now surrounded by palm trees and, while nice, are not what I experienced the majority of my life.
Glad you enjoy these videos. Thanks again for watching.
you forgot the CRASH at the entrance to RT 10 West after passing the Barn.
Very cool. You drove past the street I grew up on in the 60’s and early 70’s Yellow Barn Ave down below Nixon Elementary. I think Nixon was built around 67 or 68.
Sweet! Thanks for making this video and sharing it with us, mark miller studios!
I miss that old painting
Go all the way down Miller road.. best neighborhood!
Was there any flooding in the Woodport area? I curious since we just bought a house there and are moving in a month.
Thanks Mark for a nice drive down memory lane for me. I grew up in South Jersey (Mt. Holly) and then moved to Randolph (Ironia) in 71 and now I'm in NC for 15 yrs. Always enjoy your videos and seeing how things have changed up there! TY again
I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Thanks for watching.
It's bizarre to miss and realize I will never be able to return to a county I once called home. Thank you for posting these, Mark.
You are very welcome. Thank you for watching.
Great! Thank you for sharing!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching. 🙂
Beautiful jersey shore. I'm from Northeastern NJ. Moved to Florida with my family in 1985 going to move back home but in ocean county within 6 months. Florida is not a good place anymore.
Awesome video! I love the North Jersey/Morris County area so much!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching. 🙂
I wish I had been there in Sept 2022 instead of here in Fla getting my eyes sunburned.
I don't think I have ever seen such a long stretch on a road without some franchise fast food place like a McDonald's or a Wendys.
I sure do miss the Jersey shore!
0:33 I can’t even count how many times I have been on that road
I live out here here…drive this every day, never gets old.
I remember this. I also remember they feared that if the dam at the state park failed Lakeside BLVD would of been gone.
I watched the whole thing. I recognized the Mallard Island Club along the way, though I didn't note the time stamp.
27:40 - From here on, I've never driven this area. Anyway, my Mom spent her childhood summers on the island (40s and 50s) in Beach Haven. So she always likes for us to go to the island once in a while, and she always enjoys seeing the lighthouse. I see it was under renovation when you were there.
Loved Beach Haven many years ago!!!!
Remember this vividly. Was 5 years old living in Sparta at the time, my family and I had gone out to do errands during a lull in the rain, only for the skies to open back up and for us to be pretty much in a race to get home. I remember vividly seeing a firefighter with a horrified look on her face waving traffic to turn around near the intersection of Main St, Station Road, and Glen Road, as the section of the Wallkill River that ran along the Sparta Glen was basically turned in rapids and had washed out the bridge that crossed over it. A few days later my dad and I drove around town to get a look at the damage. In all the town lost 2 dams, including bursting a dam at Seneca Lake which was essentially drained of all its water after that, at least 5 bridges, and had a landslide along Glen Road.
I remember I shutout Sparta one Monday afternoon. 6 hits.
Yin and yang of NJ. Dumping ground to Trump's Golf Course Bedminster. Great to see the ole countryside again. Amazing music choice. Non distracting!. First I've heard ever and perfect for drive vids. Look forward to seeing more of your trips.

The sky was gorgeous
My hometown too, and a lot of it looks the same 50+ years later.
I used to go to Bertrand Island amusement park
I lived close to Bertrand’s Island. My paper route took me through King Cove road and out the park entrance. Top of the road was the 4 Aces Cafe.
You drove the highways you did not see bucks.
This is the most convoluted trip I have ever seen of two communities that are next door to each other!
You may be confusing Port Murray with Port Morris. Port Morris (part of Roxbury Township) is right next to Netcong. Port Murray (part of Mansfield Township) is about 30 minute drive from Nectong.
At 4:08 there is an American Legion building. It is now gone, destroyed by fire on Aug 26 2022
Please do an Autumn drive. Thanks.
I do have a few autumn drives on my channel already if you’d like to check them out. www.youtube.com/@markmillerstudios/videos And I’m hoping to do more this autumn as well.
Used to hang out in surf City all through the late 60's/ early 70's...a helluva town & a lot of fun for a 17 year old dude...
