Does Google Drive erase the metadata
I have never found that it erases the metadata, just that to see it I have to use a 3rd party app, like Photopea which the video demonstrated. I have heard that some phones strip it, but I have not verified that and have not had it happen to any of my students.

do you know if you can unmerge an already merged layer?
You can only unmerge by going back in your history, and would lose everything past the point of merge. So if you want to do it soon after, you are ok.

I'm not sure, I've never tried to use photopea on a phone, but it is browser based

Thank you for tutorial. I suggest that rather than using paint can to fill a new layer with vignette mask color, that the new layer instead be created as a color fill layer (Layer > New Fill Layer > Color Fill), which could be adjusted afterwards without having to explicitly "repour with the paintcan."

what is the dpi
dpi refers to dots per inch. It is a measurement of resolution, often used interchangeably with ppi (pixels per inch). we generally use a document with 72 dpi (ppi) for web use, and 300 dpi (ppi) for print use.

How do you merge shapes though?
Use the merge down as well! ex: I put a text (or layer, image), and make a shape, but i want to merge them. Simply put this shape down this text, right-click the text and press "Merge Down" It works!

Thanks. I can't find how to do a save as to save the file where I want it. How did you do that?
Under the file menu, there is a save to google drive (which overwrites the original file), or save as .psd. There is also export which allows .jpg, and other file formats.

Hey Oshwood I really like your videos so far as I just start to learn editing portraits. So far everything worked out great but somehow if I choose the paint tool and start painting, the eyes do not change. I did everything excacty as you did in your videos. Do you have any idea why it does not work? Greetings from germany
It could be that the blend mode does not make a difference based on original eye colour. You could try a different blend mode.
