Looking forward to some new ACW in 28mm
They look realy great. How long did it take to complete them all? I got my Wurtemburg army from pianowargames, He got a whole range of infantry and cavalary. I like the guard units to most.
Love this showcase and f brits, currently painting my Peninsular Brits and see this as a big inspiration! Thinking of basing them similar too as I love the shoulder to shoulder look!
Thay looks great cart wait to see them in a game fantastic 👍👍🤠🤠🤠
Beautiful JP!!👍
Fantastic JP
Thanks very much
Very, very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
excellent, may I ask what earth/sand colour you use on your bases? Thanks
It was the gw paint karak stone I think
They look great
Thanks very much
Looking good. Can't wait to see them in a game.
Getting closer 18 months to go!! Till they are reunited with all the figures in the UK!
First class minis!!
Thanks very much Phil
Absolutely glorious stuff!!!!
Thanks
Nice job! Did you and Clay ever resolved adjusting the air war?
Please Please Please be the first and only lunatic in human history to actually finish the game
I need to know how you paint your brits im very new to painting and they look awesome
Glad you like them! Lots of practice and black undercoats for me and a three colour system a dark a middle tone and then a highlight…..
May i asm what size are your cavalry bases?
High mark I think the inf are 15mm widths per figure and the cavalry 20mm, hope that helps
Good on you, Charlie!!
This is an awesome video and I am looking forward to more. Definitely subscribing!!
Hi JP, please may I ask what earth/sand colour you paint your bases before you add the flock and grass? Thank you!!
It’s gw’s karak stone for me usually
I hope you still play
Great troops you painted there. Love them!
Thanks
So infantry don't need to be in square to resist a cavalry charge? Reference Charlie's first charge. That doesn't seem right. Oh yeah, before I forget, Charlie's voice seems to be deepening. You guys just 2ant to make me old. Thanks
Try to imagine you and your friends starting the game at 21 then finally finishing the game by the time you reach 41.
Stunning collection how do you laint your faces
Generally it’s a base coat, then a wash with one of the GW brown washes then two or three highlights on the cheekbones, chin, forehead etc…..with more effort care and highlights the more important the figure….I’ve used various paints over time most recently the foundry three colour system and now Vallejo
almost got excited there for a minute- but no. i have never seen the french win when brits are running the game. NEVER. what are the chances of that?
Have a look at the backlog and I’m sure you’ll find them including the Waterloo refight…😀😀, but I tend to play the French and Charlie does have a good record of beating me 😮😉😉
@@JP-ml4zh thanks so much for your reply! good to know.
very nice! how are your troops based? 40mm by 30mm? which rules is the basing from?
Hi, may I ask what base sizes you are using? They look very nice. Good job!
Hi I don’t have my 28mm in the US, from memory the standard infantry figure bases are on a 20mm frontage, so the six figure bases are 60mm x 45mm depth, the Russian 8 figure bases are on 80mm by 45mm and so on, hope that helps, cheers
@@JP-ml4zh Many thanks tou you sir! This helped me out to figure out these. Gonna use same base sizes for my own project. :)
Fabulous
Thank you
Any chance we could get a series of all the 10 minute clips stitched together in order? I listen/watch at work and trying to sort out which video is next every 10 minutes is a bit of a thing. Thanks!
So happy you have decided to continue this game! You might be the only person on CZcams that has the ability and patience to play this game through once and for all! Subscribed!
Thanks very much, just on vacation but will be back to it in a couple of weeks…..👍
What was the differences, if any, between the regular British line and the KGL line Infantry ?
Hi, I’m guessing your asking about uniforms, I’m afraid I don’t have my books to hand but from memory when I was painting them I basically painted the line infantry identically, all have blue facings and a specific set of KGL flags, but otherwise no difference, when I did the KGL lights they are basically in the standard British riles uniform but with some differences in detail, I think Perry do different metal figures with the correct uniform, again apologies it’s details like the piping on the facings that are different, I used the Perrys own web sight to help ick up the differences and the Knottel plates that are available on the web. Have fun if your having a go producing them. Cheers JP
Excellent! I am happy to see that you are getting back to the 28 mm Napoleonics once in a while 👍🏻😊
Thanks Andreas, couldn’t stay away, just finished the first two 36 figure battalions and off to order some more plastics and some basing materials.
Even better😁 Slow progress is better than no progress 👍🏻
60 000 minutes expected playtime on BGG 😂
😮😮😂😂
The legendary italian pasta rule 😅
👍👍
looks fantastics a great collection well worth the graft
Thanks very much
I would love to see you gather a group of friends and play this game the way the author intended. I would watch your gameplay footage like a TV series.
One day perhaps but finding those with the time wouLd be a challenge……😀😀
Beautifully painted figures!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for your clear explanations! I'm amazed you're going through this game. What are your thoughts on it? Is it enjoyable, or a stubborn labour of love?
Defn a stubborn labour of love, the logistics are intense, fun to see them play out and interacting with the formations, planning the convoys and the interceptions….the air combat at individual aircraft level is bonkers……this scenario seems just about playable because it has so few units, and a bit more playable than the Italian scenario as a result….. we’ll see how long I can keep it going….but the large basement meaning I can leave it out here in the US means I might manage a few more turns this time.
❤❤❤ insane .
Thank you 😀😀😀😀
excellent conversions and painting!
Thanks much appreciated
Fantastic JP
Thanks Allan, much appreciated
Those Austrians are really useful. I just finished a unit converted to the French intervention force in the failed Irish rebellion of 1798. They're also a good base figure for the French in Egypt so my conversions can work there too. Instead of roasting, starving and losing in the miserable desert, they could have been lounging around friendly peat fires, seducing willing redheads with ivory skin and bayoneting the old enemy in Ireland. But oh no, Bonaparte had a dream.
😀😀
@@JP-ml4zh Absolutely smashing, as per usual. This hobby constantly inspires inventive creativity.
Excellent work!! Agree with PhilR below.. FIRST CLASS conversions and painting! Have fun, and be well.
Thanks, will do! much appreciated.
Great looking units ,is the conversion just the austrian heads on the duchy of warsaw bodies ,i really like the wurttembergers
It is indeed, dead easy
First class Wurttemberg infantry, well done!!
Many thanks
I guess most people would just play HOI4 for a similar-ish experience. At least the software keeps track off all those stats and values of units and vehicles for you.
Excellent!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks JP very interesting! I'm currently in the middle of 'Blue Water War' by Brian E. Walter on audiobooks which I can recommend. Albeit specifically from the naval aspect it does highlight...as does your game, the logistical challenges in this theatre. Rainstorms in Lybia, a bit like Sydney atm😄 Cheers!
Thanks for watching, glad your finding it interesting…cheers JP
Yooooo, anyone have the link to the spreadsheets?
Have a look on board game geek and search for the game, if you sign up you can download files, they are all there Cheers JP
Hi JP..being Waterloo day on Tuesday I watched your videos from our game at Chris Greggs again.Marvelous stuff! Your Wurttembergers are looking good and should be a useful addition to your collection. I'm currently churning out Prussian Landwehr but intend stopping at 15 battalions as I've run out of figures.
That was a fun game and where for once a plan worked. 👍😉👍 15 battalions of Landwehr ….wow……impressed, do you have a force, game your building them for? I’m toying with some 1813 games where the Wurtembergers could see an outing. Gradually building my Prussians up, three “brigades” / divisions now and roughly a division of Russians…..too much for any tables I have back in the UK. Out here massive empty basement but no figures! Cheers JP
Excellent! Press on!!!!!! Please!
Will do 👍👍
