In south wales right now over 100000 acres of land has been ripped up and turned into housing, there are plenty of brown field sites and many empty homes a few miles away in the valleys but they have chosen to rip up beautiful pastures and evict many animal owners forcing them to have to find homes for the animals or sell them or as in the case of myself , was forced to give valuable animals away for free because i couldnt travel two hours round trip to see to them every day due to my physical limitations. Losing thousands of pounds with absolutely no compensation at all. I know i am not alone in this, i know not everyone will understand this but animals are part of my family and losing them feels like losing one of my kids. Also many wild animals lost their homes and lives during this brutal project with no regard for their habitat, they were prime feeding grounds for bats who we used to go outside and watch in the nights and many foxes, rabbits and smaller beasties. Over 100000 acres represents a massive loss of animal lives especially those that can ot outrun the diggers. But ofcourse money trumps everything.

I started with wings of honeamise, devilman, ninja scroll, new dominion tank police, Vampire hunter D, Appleseed, record of lodos war tenchi and all that. nothing to do with Pokemon or kids, the only way to get anime was from Suncoast music or friends on VHS. I was surprised at how mellow Pokemon was with the exception of Broc.

Anime is nothing but evil. Shallow characters, ridiculous storylines, and just overall subpar entertainment. Disney, on the other hand, is the one true beacon of light in the entertainment industry. Their characters have heart, charm, and personality. And their stories? Unforgettable. So yeah, it's safe to say that Disney reigns supreme over that evil that is anime.

Korean shows are way better than American shows.

As someone who grow up outside English-speaking nation, where anime is considered "pretty mainstream" - just like everyone said, it is a media. You can tell a drama through live action screen like cinema projector or television screen or theatre play or radio or even drawing or even just writing, animation is just one of its story-telling medium. 1990s are also the era of Asian economy boom, when Japan falls, and people began to get westernised, as Disney enters its rennaissance era. Most of our Gen-X who grew up watching anime and J-doramas differ slightly from us more westernised millenials, in a way that we kinda "rediscovered" anime through English-speaking western views much later on. Of course my older cousins collect Bandai figurines of late 1980s (they were mostly Dragon Ball Z characters, even the obscure ones like the entire Ginyu forces). But they were not in the same level of quality and details of our recent ones. Detective Conan's Shinichi Kudo is still in his 5/6 years old body, 30 years on. Doraemon's daily story keeps going on, despite some OVAs already concluded Nobi Nobita's life. The Disney renaissance ended in mid 2000s with Emperor's New Groove, but American pop culture animation didn't die out, it just shifted to super hero animations brought into theatres. The straight forwardness of "good vs evil" narrative of typical American storytelling, the "happy ending" predictable drama plot that is every film industry investor's expectation IMO kills all the artistic potential of American entertainment industry and gave itself up to Asian domination, beginning with Japan.

Nice video, I especially like this video as a lifelong anime fan ever since my childhood.

The storms are not in fact 'worsening' - they've been around (although rarely given names as we seem to be doing far more often in recent years) for far longer than Man but records, assuming their accuracy, suggest coasts in some areas are eroding faster than others for the reasons enumerated in the video. Climate will always change and all we can do is adapt and take preliminary precautions in potentially vulnerable areas. Low lying coastal areas will always, as history shows, be vulnerable. Sea levels rise and fall and there is nothing we can do about it - again history both unrecorded from thousands of years ago and more recent examples show this. The Netherlands is an interesting case of early positive action and is largely successful but its situation is quite different from the east coast of Suffolk/Norfolk where villages and small towns have been lost to the sea before and since records began.

Don't forget there was a loophole. But if the US ever quit being ran as a functioning Republic Union they reserved the right to leave. We are no longer being ran as a functioning republic Union.

I feel the same but old Disney still has some great movies.

Disney's Tarzan, Robin Hood, The Lion King, Zootopia? Absolute fire. You can't deny that they've got the animation game locked down. And then there's Marvel and DC, coming in hot with iconic characters and unforgettable storylines. As for bugs bunny? A true legend of animation. And Michael Bay's Transformers movies? Pure blockbuster bliss. These are the greats. These are the ones setting the bar. Anime can keep dreaming of reaching their level, but it'll never happen.

Dragon Ball, One Piece, and any other anime shows and movies out there are just trash compared to the real heavyweights in the entertainment industry: Disney, Pixar, WB, Marvel, and DC. These studios have got the characters, the stories, and the creative vision that anime could only dream of. Sure, anime has its fans, but let's be real here - when it comes to truly unforgettable entertainment, these studios rule the game. So go ahead and watch your little anime, but don't talk to me about it until you've experienced the magic of Disney and the rest
