Used to have to stick all the internal electric in with double sided tape including the servos .the receiver was put on the back out the way because where it was when you hit something hard the battery moved and crushed it even for the day it was heavy and slow

I still have my Apache. The worst 10th scale to ever race. It made me a better driver and buggy mechanic so when I got an optima I was up there with the champions.

Great to hear you've kept yours. Did you keep the original speed controller?

@@classicrc3575 as I recall the little brass wipers wire through the micron thick Silvering on the board on the first run. Replaced with a kyosho or Tamia. Mardave then were total c£&p but they were out very own British c*^p, to which I am a proud owner.

Really great to see the Apache. I had one way back then and loved it... I’m trying hard to get one now but it’s not easy to find!!!. I understand Mardave are still going.. I wonder why they don’t do Re-Re’s like Tamiya do???

Yes Mardave are still going. I like your idea of them doing Re-Re's. Would you still go for manual speed controller??? Good luck in the search.

If I could go with the manual speedo I would. I’ve seen people put the Tamiya ones in.. but of course I would want the mardave one!!!. I will keep looking... I’m sure I will get one in time.... In the meantime if you do any more work on yours be sure to put it on the tube!!!!!!👍👍👍

@@darrengrimmer8541 By the way there's an Apache on Ebay at the moment. It doesn't have the original speed controller but might be of interest if you haven't seen already.
