    Hi, I have a red robin tree that has lost all of its leaves, and it looks dead. I was just hoping u could help me. Do I just get rid of it, or is there anything that I could do to bring it back to life. It is in a big pot, and I have mixed bonemeal into it, but still no leaves are growing. Should I prune it and cut all the branches off? If so, can I do it now, or is it the wrong time of year.

    Please DO a longer video on pleach trees. You’re spot on about the increased popularity due to encroaching new builds. I need to buy 3-4 of them for just this purpose! My questions are: What are the best trees for all year round screening? Does the trunk carry on growing in height or is it just the pleached branches? If it is just the branches that grow, how high / wide will they grow? What price are the larger height sizes? I’ve seen some sold at £1000 each!

    I have 2 of these with no leaves just berries is this normal? and do they prefer acid soil? thankyou, useful video👍

    • @bannisterhall5110
      @bannisterhall5110 Před 3 lety

      Yes, that is normal. They are deciduous, so won't have any leaves from now until the spring. Their berries are usually one of the last to be eaten as they are a bit tart. Almost any soil slightly acidic is best but they're not too fussy unless the soil is very limey, then the leaves will turn yellow. Hope this helps :)

    How long to grow a pleached tree from scratch?

    • @bannisterhall5110
      @bannisterhall5110 Před 4 lety

      For a 6ft Pleached Tree with a clear stem and structure, it would take around 6 - 8 years depending on the verity. Hope this helps
