so like you CAN catch a Pokémon to help build a chain. I would recommend it for like 5% encounter Pokémon, but you should be able to build the chain with KO just fine :) No matter what you do there is ALWAYS a chance the chain will break :(

@@Madvlad2336 KO other pokemon does NOT break the chain. It's a very casual shiny method. Just make sure the shiny you WANT is on Chain 50 and chain 100 to get the extra shiny odds

So this is a challenge thing I’m doing and I’ve played so much that most of my Pokemon are at 999 search level. You don’t have to get max search level to find a shiny Pokemon but sometime it just happens because bad luck.

@@SmkGaming05 fair, thanks for responding tho, it´s my first time trying the dex nav and was searching for a tutorial and found you, do you have a updated tutorial on it with the odds? cause i can only find things from many years ago and the information is pretty outdated.

@@SmkGaming05 I managed to get a 65 streak, got fast music, but when does the shiny boost turn on? When the fast music is there or after i have reset it?

@@fly_stormz2946 fast music is working the entire time it’s playing. So do as many resets as you can while the fast music is playing. Once the fast music goes away your shiny boost goes away. Also at 40 chain is max shiny odds. So you don’t have to keep building the chain past 40. Just keep resetting the grass until shiny patch once you hit 40 chain
