In 2015, then Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne unveiled a revised sexual education curriculum that would teach students across the province about consent, the gender spectrum, and sexuality. It was short-lived. In 2018, Premier Doug Ford’s provincial government announced that students across Ontario would revert back to a curriculum written in 1998.
This project, compiled of your experiences and wisdom, is about cultivating openness and honesty around sex. It’s about filling in the gaps of our learning with one another’s wisdom and experiences. We asked our participants about their history with sex ed, about their relationships and experiences with porn and erotica, and the “Talk.”

While we tried to be as inclusive as possible throughout the recruitment process for this video series, the stories in these are not intended to be representative of all experiences.
