One of the beaches that reached mythical status amongst Kefalonia travellers, is Paralia Myrtos - and for a good reason. For sailors, it's not easy to reach, as it's on the exposed west side where shelter is few and far apart. And we cannot get too close to the tourist-filled beach... But oh, it was worth the trip! The cliffs and turquoise water combine to make an absolutely stunning scenery!! ...

From our sailing expedition to the Ionian Sea, Greece, July 2023 This was the first "wild night anchoring" with shorelines in our Ionian Sea expedition. We instantly loved the views, the freedom (having our own swimming pool around us), the quietness and chillness of the place. So from now on it's going to be mostly these type of places for spending the night (instead of busy hot town marinas)

Great run and impressive speed for an ETAP 26! Might want to consider a rope rigged as a boom-end gybe preventer fwd running downwind with what looks like full main and AWS over 25 kts. A crash gybe would have been painful!
thanks for the comment. I do plan to use a preventer when I'm doing longer trips. Right now I'm only playing and experiencing on short legs, fully focused on keeping it on the right point of sail (by autopilot) and with wind angle sufficiently away from 180 so a crash gybe is not possible. I did try one (a crash gybe) just to observe it, see where it starts and where the "kill zone" is in the cockpit! :) In this video, by the time I rigged the preventer I'm already needing a change of direction

Funny thing is, when i lived in Cheltenham i remember watching some nut job every now and then whip his little red biplane around.
A few years ago i built a new road leading to the new medical center in Staverton. I wondered what GCHQ looked like on this game, i used to live across the road basically. When you landed, did you go to the Aviator cafe? Pretty damn good breakfast i must say. I was there almost daily when doing that new road
Would be cool if you could land on that road. Its quite a short, in a field probably leading to nothing directly behind the Land Rover dealership on commercial road. Its got a bit of a bend so will be a tricky landing ;)
