Update Karlos just made an unofficial WR 408KG total and a WR 183KG snatch and a WR 225KG c&j.
liu huan hua seorg lelaki dari china yang memegan rakod dunia power jerk terkuat nom dua🥈🥈 di dunia indonesia tak layak unyuk dpt record dunia salam dri MALAYSIAN 🇲🇾🤝🇹🇳 🖕🇮🇩🖕
I don't even care about the weight. The way he gets under the bar is stunning to watch
It's really makes me sad that this generation of Chinese lifter are retiring. Really gonna miss them
IMO calling Liu Huanhua a B team member at 81 seems... wrong? He jumped up to the 89 kg category after world's 2022 and put up a 175 kg snatch and a soldi 215 c&j at the Asian Championship in 2023. I don't doubt he'd have been the best chinese 89 kg lifter at Worlds in Riyadh. Idk. Otherwise I share your sentiment.
What are the red and white adidas shoes he was wearing called?

Nope should be all good
@@vintagelifts oh you’ve probably blocked me. Im the admin of “zone of weightlifting”. Haven’t tried to copy you if it’s that🤷♂️
@@vintagelifts please unblock lmao. I like your videos
@@At1234tr lmao my bad bro
Alexiev next?
I think his GDR national records are most impressive. 205+240 and a 245 jerk under 110. His '88 Euros performance also goes unrecognized because of the lack of footage
Georgian iron man,,,
steroids
I hate these side view videos
Who is this lifter again?
I'm going to be the next world Olympic Weightlifting champion from Uganda, get 500k like and the bet is on 🥰🏋️♂️🇺🇬
then who's king?
Probably Pyrros Dimas, because he has more olympic medals (3 consecutive golds and 1 bronze)
@@VorpalBR then what does that make Naim, who has the highest sinclair?
@@nchinth It's a good point, Naim has the biggest Sinclair and Pyrros has had more success in the Olympics.
@@nchinthSinclair just means he was the strongest tiny little guy, among tiny little guys. If you are trapped under a car, they are not going to bring out a tiny car for him to lift. Either you are stronger or you are not. Sinclair means nothing in real life.
@@HIMCULESif that's the case, then lasha is king.

Who's roony?
I love your vids
he is half Greek....his mother is Greek. That's the true reason he came to Greece
Exactly, his mother's name is Maria Lamprianidi.
Don’t forget his Greek uncle who convinced him to go
great vid!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone is wondering where he is now, Khaki is the current president of the Georgian Weightlifting Federation.
Lets take a moment to appreciate the effort of Vintage Lifts to make those awesome videos and the fact he also keeps it free to watch. I'm from brazil so its harder to support from buying merch, but I will do my best because this content have enormous value to keep weightlifting history alive
Make as in edit
Wonderful video, thanks for posting! I am just getting into weightlifting and had never heard of him before now. His story is amazing!

nobody has yet beaten KKs 145k over bdwt C&J ... probably nobody ever will
Kharpaty did it first in 1988
@@ozwunder69in which competition.
11:34 is that where Grizzly trains now? I wonder
yes!! there is a photo with Kachi and Grizzli also.Grizzli was a competitive weight lifter at these times
@@nikosboul-akk fuck yeah, that makes him even more legendary
Fantastic vid.
They aren’t built like this anymore! The fact he was push/power jerking these weights is unreal.
Banger video
kakhi was one of the only guys at or near the top who had something left in the tank when he made his best total. he probably could have done 237, and definitely 190 in barcelona.
georgia had to wait 12 years between kakhi and georgi, and another 12 for lasha, which georgian will emerge to win gold at LA 2028? We've seen a super, and 2 middle weights, i think its time for a featherweight
Pretty sure he hadn't lifted more than 180 by 1992 Olympics
🏋️🏋️
babe wake up new vintage content
Alex popov did 242.5kg at bwt 100kg back in 1988.. so not that great

And who has the far away best sinclair?
Kakhi kakiashvilli ?
Kaki was excellent. But the answer is the pocket hercules
The second youngest... So who is the youngest? Who was 15 when he broje his first world record? Who has broken 9 olimpic and 6 world records in the same olimpic games? Who has broken a total of 46 world records? Who has lifted 10 kgs more than 3xbody weight in clean and jerk? Who has been the cover of Time maganise? Who would sometimes win the competitions after his first lift?
Naim ;-)
The most talented weightlifter of this century.

Get used to it. Everyone is on drugs, this doesn't just apply to sports, everyone is on caffeine, everyone is on alcohol, and if you travel to different parts of the world, you'll simply find different drugs. Nobody is sober anywhere, it's a human thing.
Was he drug tested ?
here we go again with genius comments
I’m the best jerker ever
I've certainly heard of Varbanov and don't understand why he is overlooked these days. I guess the comparisons to today's lifters are uncomfortable. Steroids are given the credit which is just full on cope.
After I heard dimas say naim was lazy with his training for sydney, I lost respect for him. His career was a miracle of politics and not very fierce competition. Nobody in his era ever made a heavy jerk when it mattered. Before dimas, we had vardanyan, and after him, we had tian, rostami, apti, Gabriel, and nasarina. Dimas got away with some pretty average performances for 3 olympic golds. And all of those men, (all better lifters) got like 2 olympic golds combined. 1 for vardanyan, the greatest ever before naim, and 1 for rostami, the winner of the greatest 80 kilo session ever. Where both rostami and tian beat dimas pr total and jerk record, and 4 men, totaled as much as dimas when he won in 2000.
What happened after dimas happened after.. no need for comparisons
Dimas the 🐐
Deficits this big being overcome have only happened twice as far as I know. Here, and Lu vs. Rahimov lu made 177 vs rahimov 165, then lu made 202, to rahimovs 214, for a 4 kilo world record. Chemirkin almost pulled off an even bigger swing, but we all know he wasn't very close.
1987 nope.. source of information.. noone attempting 250kg @110kg in 1987
