It is so much fun riding the Fatty and the fender is still being a jerk. Got to stop at the hardware store and get a hose clamp and try something different.

Hubbardston State Forest is just a fun place to ride.

All is good Dave I hope your family is doing well also. It was great to have Paul join the ride; this was his first real trail ride with plenty of rocks and roots. Always fun introducing new riders to the wonderful world of the woods.

Closed in 2019 after 75 years in business.

The last two days have been overcast, with light rain here and there.

I used it Infront of my brother Rick before our ride Wednesday, and he was amazed by it.

@@JustRideZipp2001 Yeah, i'll be feeling it tomorrow. A couple of the roads basically turned into deer runs and I had to hike the bike through the woods. I need to learn to just turn around sometimes. Haha!

I've had two winter seasons under my belt with these and have no complaints. I haven't had to wear my wool socks since because my feet have stayed warm. I didn't size up.

It's lake Dennison and the sand pit your talking about is now covered in forest debris from all the tree removal in the area. I used to share all the trails out near the pit that the dirt bikes made but they are no more because of the de-foresting. I haven't seen any more dirt bikes out there since. The larger sand pit that I came out to on my ride I very seldom run into dirt bikes. The dirt bikes seem to be more over in the trails by Baldwinville center now and father up behind the MX park.

@@JustRideZipp2001 ......sad......yeah i used to enter the sand pits behind the mx park from route 2 west.....the mid '80's it was always a busy time in the sand pits off route 2......people used to bring dune buggys and everything besides dirt bikes......good times.......yeah i noticed some places that were wide open are now a forest.....i guess it doesnt take long for nature to take over

@@Joe-pb3lx Still some good trails behind the MX park. I haven't been this year but will get out so you can see what it is like, maybe bring back old memories.

@gerardnatale2387 There are some really fun sections out there and a few tough climbs. If we have a good winter, this is where I ride. If you see some free time coming up in the next few weeks, give me a heads up, and I'll head out your way for a ride. If not, we can shoot for the fall.

Lost track of this video so once I found it, I figured it was a nice relief from the summer heat and thunderstorms. I'll be on my fat bike real soon because I just got a part in that took 5 months to come in. It's been at a friend's house that I ride out of on Wednesdays so if we get a nice Wednesday, I'll ride that instead of the Orbea.

Found this video hanging around and already looking forward to some winter fun.

I love the summer heat but lots of evenings after work has had thunderstorm rolling thru the area which cuts into trail riding. I can't wait for winter and really hoping we get lots of show for some real fun.

When I did my weekly ride in The Burg (Fitchburg) I would get my heart rate banging.

It's pretty rough now and I cut on it every now and then because very few people on it.

I have a jersey and bib shorts of my present kit in xxl which is what I wear. Your more than welcome to have it, just ran out of gloves. It goes back to my racing days when I used this practice to help me learn to handle suffering when racing.

@@JustRideZipp2001 I's a strange thing. Although I'm not getting seriously out of breath after climbing I still get a good workout. It's a different feeling after having done a downhill run and wanting go back up and do it again, do it better, improve technique. Without the bike going back up one (let alone multiple times) would probably have felt too daunting..... now with the ebike even the climb is fun.

I had to replace my battery on my car because it was dead yesterday, nice easy job. Be really careful if you have to weld around the gas tank. My next two Saturdays are filled with grand buddy's birthday parties. Have a safe and relaxing weekend.

They have a car repair shop with a side area set up to work on their bikes. Mrs. Z has only done a few rides around the neighborhood.
