Truck was down for a few weeks with a no-start. It wasn't getting fuel to the injectors. Diagnosed everything and turned out it was the fuel pump that went bad. After I took the bed off, I had plenty of room to put the new fuel pump in. SHE'S ALIVE!!

Wish GM would do like Hyundai. They have access door on air filter housing that you remove without tools. So much simpler.

I love the setup here. Most people seem to not appreciate a nice smooth, deep, and rumbly V8. It makes the engine sound powerful, healthy, and respectable imo. Many people seem to want that loud raspy, tinny, loping sound out of their V8's and I just don't get it. The TBI 305/350 have that nice deep sound to them. I really appretiate what you did here!

1989 was the last year for the R2500 to be the base model on those square body crew cab pickups. 1989 was also the last year for the R/V 3500 plain cab square body pickups. In 1990, the R3500 crew cab with single rear wheels became the base model on those square body pickups. Square body models were produced from 1973 - 1991 except the R/V 10 & 20 plain cab pickups were finished in 1987, & the R/V 3500 plain cab pickups were finished in 1989.
what other deep aggressive tone muffler yiu prefer?
I used to run Flownaster 40 series on all my trucks, but after hearing these I'm more than happy with the sound!
Just bought a box Chevy caprice . Any suggestions on how to get my sound super deep and aggressive ?
Congrats on your new Box! Headers and an Xpipe or Hpipe added to your exhaust system will definitely help with that!
How loud would you say these are? I got 40 series flowmasters on my blazer and its a little louder then i want it to be
These are the perfect blend of mellow and deep. Not raspy at all. More smoother sounding than the Flowmaster 40s for sure. You wont regret them!
Is the motor a stock 350 with manifolds? What is the diameter of the pipe?
Stock 350 TBI, headers, and 2.5 inch pipe

No. Truck is sold. The new owner is doing a 4x4 conversion and Cummins swap.
Did the mufflers have a part number other than deep tone? Would like to know the difference (is it in sound?) between offset in/out and center in/offset out. With having tailpipes, does the sound get blatty sounding at higher RPM's?
This is probably the best sounding dual exhaust setup I've done on my trucks in years. Lookup P/N 555-30220 on Jegs. I did offset in and center out. Also added an H pipe. The tips are the finishing touch to help deliver the awesome muscle truck tone.

@@BAKEMAN87 I really am considering it. I'm in the process of redoing a '71 High Boy with a built 390. Obviously I'm going for as much torque as I can get but I want as much HP as well without going radical. My mechanic is currently in the process of getting cam lobe lift and duration and comp ratio figured out for the best of that, He's done numerous before, but needs to tame mine down just a touch...mild lope is OK...but you know!😁. I forget off hand, but either the H-pipe has more torque value vs the X or vice versa, but I need to take full advantage of that. Sheeees the things we never had to worry about!!!! In the 70's we used to just use Corvette Turbo mufflers and they sounded great (dumped them right in front of the rear axle) and they worked!

Yes it does! It's all in the engineering I guess! I was very pleased with its performance.

Yes! This Blazer definitely did what I needed it to do with no problems. It actually did even better with the larger dual axle trailer I towed with in the 2nd tow video I did.

This worked! I tried a couple of other methods shown on CZcams with no success. This is so simple and it works. If you are a weak-wristed 70-something year old female like me, you might need to use a pry tool for that last corner or even the bottom two corners. I used the bottle opener end of a manual bottle/can opener and it went right on. Thank you for this video.

1987 was the last year for the square body regular cabs "half tons & three quarter tons only" & 1989 for the one ton regular cabs. The crew cabs like yours on the other hand were still in production up through 1991, & same with the square body Suburbans, K5 Blazers, & Jimmys too.

In 1989 the grilles, headlamp bezels, & emblems were also redesigned to yours. The square body pickups were the third generation C/K series, the square body Suburbans were the seventh generation Suburbans, & the square body K5 Blazers & Jimmys were the second generation K5 Blazers & Jimmys. In 1987, the C/K series was changed to R/V series & were on all the square body models produced up through 1991. When the fourth generation C/K series pickups came out in 1988, they went back to the previous C/K series.

Luis Ortiz No, these mirrors had the orange blinker light already, but I customized the wire to turn on with my parking lights all orange together.
