How Far Can I Go?!.. | Breath Hold Running Challenge
In this video I wanted to showcase my new training breath hold running. I wanted to share a little about my past as a speed walker.
This training enchances my breath hold while simlutaneously increasing my cardiovascular function! leading me to be able to hold my breath longer. This training is greuling and not for the feint of heart. holding your breath while running is not easy. it requires perserverance and commitement. You feel like your lungs are going to burst once you finish.
I thought about this challange in order to practice and enhance my breathing outside of the water. Running has been known to increase breath holds and this is no different.
At the end of this challange I ended up running farther than i expected which was great!

Man, you're holding a heavy camera on a cheap Chinese trigger stick with your finger constantly pressing a button and you say image stabilization is better on gorpo? Sorry, mate, but you don't know what you're talking about. A large expensive camera needs a good expensive box. Otherwise it's like comparing a fresh hotdog with a beefstake you fished out half-eaten from the dumpster.

You were saying that both cameras were shooting 4K and that you could speed up or slow down the footage but that’s not true because the Sony can only shoot in 24/30fps in 4K which doesn’t really allow for slowmo. You’d have to be shooting in 1080p which allows up to 120fps. Aside from that, excellent comparison.
Was that only a challange or is this good for something?
Usually you would do "apnea walks" where you hold your breath while walking to build up CO2 tolerance but I was interested to see how it went running. Both are pretty miserable but do help to improve CO2 tolerance to improve bottom time spearfishing

Did you do a custom white balance depending on depths on Sony? This would make a big difference.
No I am pretty new to using the Sony underwater, I appreciate the tip. Would this help to correct shallow water color as well or just beyond 10 meters or so?
@@72dynes61 a lot! That may make it a better comparison.
Yeah that's true! I think if you take a plastic white board with you underwater and position it in front of the camera, you can tell the camera that the board should be white and it will colour correct accordingly. That works on land at least, not sure about underwater :)

100% Matthew. When centimeters matter I want to make sure I have each 3 prong sighted in perfectly. Now ideally our next target will be sinkable so I can sight the guns in too.
