We brothers don’t have to wait for a woman to say this. God used a man to write it, so surely men can speak to this, and it doesn’t even necessarily mean that a woman is best suited for this topic. God used a man to write it and to preach it. Paul told Titus to teach the older women to teach the younger women in Titus 2. So we brothers have authority on this area, actually even more authority than the sisters.

No body knows what is the definition of modesty. Any religion you pick is heavily influenced by region culture and how you interpret it. What she is wearing may not be modest for Christian woman in Afghanistan. People basically mold the religion the way they see it fit. Be it any religion it is not 100% applicable. Before coming to USA I was very religious but I started to notice what we were told in pakistan growing up as Christian is not applicable in churches of USA such as respect for Holy Bible the way people dress in Churches or otherwise. Alcohol consumption etc. Then I noticed this pattern in all religions. Hence, as of now I believe we control religion and make it fit to our needs be it any religion.

The only reason we are wearing clothes is because of sin. So there are no secret parts to a body. There are only parts that can cause someone to sin. Thats it.

Why not just wear a full a full Burqa get up? If that man who's sitting behind you in church and cant stop perving , and YOU have to "self controlled"? Otherwise females are "asking for it" right?? Go and pray and sort yourselves out.

More true today than what it was 14 years ago, when this video was uploaded. With each generation, in our church, women seem to have yielded more to the lure Satan dangles before them. A few years ago I would not have thought that any woman in our church would have worn ballet tights as outerwear, covered by a crop top, crowned by a headful of purple hair and eyeshadow glitter. Nor to see them sing in the choir wearing bluejeans full of holes. I'm glad that the "fashion trend" of ladies wearing matching hats, gloves, shoes and handbags has passed. The same age that required all men to wear suits, felt hats, white shirts and ties to church. Far to much emphasis on "Sunday best" to impress others in the pew instead of humbly honoring God with clean overalls and a grateful heart. It seems that we've gone from one extreme to another. Gone from dress to impress in the 1960's to dress to solicit in 2023. (sigh) Another example of history repeating itself, as illustrated in the Scriptures. Use of fringes and embroidery are two examples of using to honor God or using to elevate oneself.

With great appreciation. It takes courage to say what she has said. A ccorrection and warning to all Christian women. Unfortunately we have no one at our church that are addressing this problem. Women on welcoming with very short skirts and their breasts showing, very long splits in their dresses and that horrible lycra gym wear, very short shorts. I dont know where to look and my husband is very uncomfortable and embarrassed. I dont tell anyone where l go to church, because lm ashamed of the way we look to the unconverted. We look worldly as a church, and thats just wrong as Christians.

i belonged to a "modern" SB Church and was raising my little daughter after my wife (she was 37) passed. It was the early 2000's and the fashion was low V-cut tops and short skirts....for a man trying to worship, it was really distracting... and most were married women whose husbands I knew in the church. I have tried to raise my daughter to be modest and humble to Jesus and she is! It truly is a miracle.

Theres 3 basic modes of dress for women. amish, middle ground, and hooker style. SOOOO, made your moderation be known unto all men (verse), choose middle ground without looking homely or brazen! chose well fitting clothes, not baggy or skin tight, not ragged style or bejewelled, look smart and suave, not bedraggled. no skirts beyond 2 inches above your knees is a good rule.

I do agree with the message. Modesty is a heart posture that will display outwardly in ways as well as inwardly. However, I have to say that I'm not sure I agree that it is necessary to offer the option for the name of the man who confessed a weakness and previous struggle with pornography, and requested at the elder level that a discussion be had with women regarding attire. I don't feel that is proper to expose him by name. I'm not sure how that would be fruitful. Passing along the concerns and request should suffice.

I dress the way I do for my own self respect. I don't want to be leered at by men, but on the other hand I think men should be responsible for their own behaviour. Just how far can a man go in telling a woman what to wear? Some men will be turned on by the sight of a shoulder or even the form of a woman under her clothes.

Us women should dress like the virgin Mary and not be swayed by the current trends or fashions. God doesn’t change, neither shall we.

I think the Christian religion really admires the Muslims and the control they have over their populations. Christian children are brought up with a fear of being thrown into a fire and burned forever but Muslim children, as well as the threat of Hell are brought up with the very real fear that if they say a word out of place about their fake religion they will be decapitated by the State. Just criticize or make a joke about Muhammad anywhere in the Middle East and you are instantly headed for the chopping block, Christians, especially in the bible belt of the USA would love to have the same control over their populations. Just imagine the fear they could instill into their congregations, Church would be compulsory, women would have to cover their whole bodies from head to toe whenever they were out in public, permission would have to be granted from their husbands or fathers whenever they wanted to leave the house, all freedoms would be banned and anybody who blasphemed or said anything which could be construed as critical of Jesus would have to explain to the Police. All these evangelical preachers would be wetting their pants in bliss at just the thought of so much power and control.

I am modest but I don't have air conditioning and when I mow my yard I wear shorts and t shirt that I cut the sleeves off of. I would die of sweating if I didn't. But this is my yard in a quiet neighborhood. Maybe one or two cars driving on the street in three hours. Nothing hangs out, and I'm built like a popsicle stick. Don't think I entice anyone.

It's not about what you "want to see". The Holy Spirit should be the One whose opinion matters.
