SHALMANESER III AGAINST HAZAEL (IN 841 BCE) - EPIGRAPHIX
Assyrian Royal Inscription of King Šalmaneser III of Assyria.
Cuneiform Inscription (in Akkadian) from Kurba'il Statue of Šalmaneser III, King of Assyria , describing the Military Campaign in 841 BCE, against King Hazael of Damascus (Aram), & Tribute extraction from Tyre, Sidon, & Israel. Discovered at Nimrud (Iraq) in 1961 CE by the British School of Archaeology.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION FROM AKKADIAN:
"IN THE 18TH YEAR OF MY RULE I CROSSED THE EUPHRATES FOR THE 16TH TIME. HAZAEL OF DAMASCUS, TRUSTING IN THE MIGHT OF HIS ARMY, CALLED UP HIS TROOPS IN GREAT NUMBER, FORTIFYING MOUNT SENIRU, A MOUNTAIN FACING MOUNT LEBANON. I FOUGHT WITH HIM & INFLICTED A DEFEAT UPON HIM, KILLING WITH THE SWORD 16,000 OF HIS EXPERIENCED SOLDIERS. I TOOK AWAY FROM HIM 1121 CHARIOTS, 470 RIDING HORSES, AS WELL AS HIS MILITARY CAMP. TO SAVE HIS LIFE, HE RAN AWAY, BUT I FOLLOWED HIM, & BESIEGED HIM IN DAMASCUS, HIS ROYAL RESIDENCE. THERE, I CUT DOWN THE GARDENS OUTSIDE THE CITY, & DEPARTED. I MARCHED AS FAR AS THE MOUNTAINS OF HAURANU DESTROYING, TEARING DOWN & BURNING INNUMERABLE TOWNS, CARRYING THE SPOILS AWAY WHICH WAS BEYOND COUNTING. The use of the word " Apiru " in the extracts from some of the Amarna letters is a little misleading. This is an English spelling of the Canaanite word " Habiru " meaning " nomad ". The nomads being referred to were the Hebrews who had recently entered north eastern Canaan and were attacking various villages. Help from Egypt was never sent and the Hebrews wound up in control of the eastern half of Canaan and the rest is history.
You’re so right, some scholars suggest that the term apiru (used prior to late Bronze Age) is actually a social and not racial construct. Additionally, Apiru are mentioned plundering Elam and Babylon, which is thousands km away from Canaan.
There's no evidence to support this biblical nonsense. If there was a cultural replacement it would show in the archeological record and there's no evidence for any.

the star is stolen by Israel, which upon occupation of Jerusalem in 1967 confiscated all items in museums,the find was excavated in Jordan and must be repatriated.
Indeed the Ghassulian star fresco was discovered in K. of Jordan & hosted at Rockefeller museum in Jerusalem. I hope one day this issue will be settled.
