(1) the size (2) bearded dragons are desert animals bearded dragon tanks should be in at least 75 gallons, 120 gallons ideally. too small for a creature that grows up to 18-24in, that enclosure may not be wide enough for that margin for that animal to turn around comfortably, let alone explore and have enrichment. UNLESS this is a temporary baby setup, then go for it lol. a higher humidity than the 20-40% range can result in upper respiratory infections. you only want a little humidity, as bearded dragons are desert guys. your substrate mixture should be okay though. just be careful!

Hello Lloyd! - you asked what makes us feel like reel fish keepers. I have had a fish tank for 3 years now and have struggled keeping Discus. Since last summer 2023, I am succeding in tkeeping them alive - that makes me feel like a real fish keeper, by the way I have also bought a used FX6 2 weeks ago and I have ordered all the parts from hoses to the input and output - I really look foreward to have the filter up and running. I have 7 discus and 6 anglefish in a 110 gallon aquarium ( 450 liter )

I had two neons get stuck (area is now patched up). I pulled them out with tweezers. It was a stressful ordeal and i was sure theyd die. They didnt. F*kers are hardy as hell. It's been a month and one of them has has a scar but theyre healthy and happy.

In my canister filters I clean my sponge filters in the sink with tap water and them squeeze them out, without a second thought. The bio balls are where the bio bacteria live. That's what bio media is made for. The sponges are just to polish the water and to stop the muck from fouling the bio balls. It doesn't matter if the tap water chlorine santises the sponges. However, I never and have never washed the bio media itself.

Bearded dragons come mainly from the desert it is NOT humid in the desert it is DRY the wet sand will cause the bearded dragon to have respetory issues they need to be between 20-40% humidity what you have done there will surly be around 70-80 mark

Once a month cleaning? Wow nasty. I have 2 FX6's on my 125 gallon and after 3 months my filters aren't that dirty.....Then again I have smaller fish and 2 FX's.

Awesome dude, this looks super simple and I I like the towel trick. Picking up a used fx6 tomorrow and upgrading from the 75 I’ve had for over a decade to a 125, I think I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a “real” fish keeper. Not that there’s anything wrong with smaller setups but I’ve always dreamed of going big, and the big filter is part of that for sure. The ease of maintenance you show here makes that feel way less intimidating.

I boil the water the cool it off

I clean my filers in the sink. I clean them out with hot water, wipe the sink down good. I them run water that is close to the temperature of my tank water. I add water conditioner to the sink. Your way is probably a safer way to do it. There is a chance of contaminations in the sink. You have a nice tank.

This doesn't seem like safer seas, rep is capped at 40 and you wont gain rep after that. Also you had access to the hourglass which isn't available in safer seas either.

Yep, safer seas is what the name suggests, SAFE. but it is what people cried for so gotta deal with it. a red gem with grade 5 emmy is worth more than an ashen winds on safer seas.

yeah safer seas are fine its meant to be lower to get people to play the real game rather than the extended tutorial, sometimes you sink sometimes you dont but you got to go in the high seas to get better at the game, i understand some people might just want to do there thing with friends or family, without any toxic reactions but thats gaming for you

Just letting you know lipping freshwater trout does lots of damage to them. They are fragile fish. It’s fine if you are eating them though.

Humidity is very important for beardies. With bioactive for beardies you should try and find arid isopods and springtails and set the cage up that way. I know most bioactives need higher humidity for the microclimate but it can lead to respiratory problems and infections for the little guys. Please be careful and set it up in a way that meets the animals needs before your own.
