EF4 Tornado Newnan GA 03-26-21 Actual Footage
View is in the southerly direction on the south side of the tornado path and I believe it captures the inflow into the tornado. The center of the tornado path is about 2000ft to the right of the camera.
Tornado Approaches around 5:30 Timepoint.
There is a steadily increasing low frequency roar as the tornado approaches that might be the sound of the tornado.
Update:
I found some preliminary data from the NOAA on the tornado track and specific intensities. I've updated my initial estimates based on this. The location of the EF4 damaged areas of Newnan are about 4000ft away and the EF3 damage on Newnan HS is about 3500ft away just to give you a relative perspective. I think the intensity you're seeing in the video is probably in the EF0/EF1 range based on our location in the path. The experience must have been much worse closer in. I would love to hear some expert observations on what we're seeing (and hearing) here. I can probably get time stamps for the video.
There's a lot of interest in the camera. It's a Unifi G3 Bullet. It's mounted up under the edge of the roof. I'm assuming the roof edge is what shielded it. It did get a little dirty but wasn't hit with anything - just barely.

I'm so glad it didn't hit St. Mary's Hospital, aka City of Hope or Cancer Treatment Centers of America. I called over there a few minutes after it happened and asked if they were alright, and the security guard was so appreciative which was nice. I've lived through two tornadoes, and they're terrifying!
10:29 Then just a calm rain. It’s moved on. Just absolutely horrific but undeniably awe inspiring.
People keep saying they hear a train. I think it's much closer to the sound of a jet taking off.
How awful!
womp womp
The F5 in Moore Oklahoma in 1999 stripped the sod off the dirt and bark off the trees.
And that was just the outer edge of the vortex!
Well, ya know what they say. “This sucks. 😢”
This is the 4th time I've watched this video, I watch pretty much every video posted with a tornado in it and this has the best audio ever. The more I watched it the more ai got to thinking, it sure looks like the bugs that have been out here at night in my security cam footage., going crazy, then stupid great audio almost like it's from a soundtrack, then got to thinking about looping the bugs and audio, with headphone's on you can hear the loop in the audio and see the bugs speed up. For as loud as the wind blew yet the rain fell straight down till it started blowing sideways. Though that is strange, another strange thing is the bumping sound of hitting a live mike, then the shadows like someone walks past the light source. All and all I'm going to say this is a fake. May have been a real EF0 or 1 that came past this place, but think it had some help with audio and visual effects to help sell the video clip.
When this is this in GA
How come where I live in Temple TX we get an F2 and we’re without electricity for 5 days. Y’all’s still on 😮
Another confirmed tornado in Georgia right now
Unbelievable. Great footage.
Did you sell the footage to your camera company for testimonial advert? If you haven't - DUDE!
Rip creepypasta😱
Also knowing it's coming but can't stop it
Good God in heaven!! 😳😢🙏💔
i was waiting for that BB post to go finally gave in
why did the siren stop?
Cause the twister took out it's power
Nothing but blowing rain and a couple of the branches broke off....not a single sight of the alleged tornado...much less the stated EF 4!
I once heard that it sounds like a freight train. It so does. I NEVER want to have that experience 😕
right from the beginning you can hear a federal signal 2001 sounding in attack a distance away
The power of this place we live on is insane, hope everyone was safe, great footage
In all the videos I've seen, tornadoes have sounded to me like airplane engines or vacuum cleaners, but this... It absolutely did sound like an oncoming train!
We have a game plan, our biggest fear would be that we’re sound asleep.
So, we now know why the camera man always lives. As it turns out, cameras have a built-in forcefield around them.
Skip the first 5 minutes.....nothing going on.
Nah. I find this footage good because you can hear the twister's roar get louder. Makes it terrifying because it's behind and to the right of the camera.
Wild. Very awesome.
The house is lucky to have survived.
that roar sounds like a Saturn rocket booster taking off. 😮
Weird...how can a camera give such clear footage...yet every "clip" of a sasquatch or ufo is so fuzzy? Nice job
The sound in this video is creepy. You can hear the tornado the whole video. It sounds like a constant rumble of thunder that just keeps getting louder.
Get some good headphones on and you can hear that spinning monster slowly rumbling its way towards this poor defenseless tree
This ain't real far from where I grew up in Georgia. Looks like a tornado to me.
That camera is a tough sob. Barely lost video
Yea that was real smh🥱
Literally an 8 minute build up. That was suspenseful.
This must been the outer edge
That video cam was like “that’s all you got?”
Tree down 😅
Looked like it almost passed without damaging too much. That tree needed to hang on for like half a second longer.
Which we had an after photo to see how many of those trees came down.
Awesome
3:06 was the scariest part 4 me
I'm impressed that the streetlight was still on. lol.
that would make for good advertisement for that camera wow! Building gone, trees gone, camera never moved and still recording.
For a second i thought " that was it "...nope. hearing a real tornado sound was exhilarating.
Must have been a "Motel 6" across the way. They left a light on.
When the siren goes silent, you have a problem.
Man I love that roar .IT very scary.
