The goal of this site is to turn people on to music that has slipped through the cracks so to speak, music that in many cases was/is just as good or better than the mainstream but for one reason or another has been forgotten, ignored, or simply not discovered. All of our Robscurities videos are made to inform and entertain. Please feel free to share them!
Blackfoot - Good Morning (Instrumental)
I remember hearing this version of Blackfoot's Good Morning on the radio before the Marauder album came out. Always wondered if it was some sort of promotional copy, but since then I've learned that it was the 'B' side of the Fly Away single. Had they not finished the lyrics at this point?, was Rickey Medlocke sick?, Did some flunkie accidentally screw up the master? Who knows, but in any event, check out this little piece of history.

Griffin were THE definition of 80's Power Metal, too bad nobody else got the memo. Great guitar work from Rick Cooper and Mike "Yaz`" Jastremski, plus awesome vocals by William McKay...what more could you ask for?

Small Jackets are an Italian Rock band that pack a wicked punch. This Robscurities video features 3, count 'em 3, tunes from their 3rd album, Cheap Tequila (2009). Are You Ready is a kicking version of a Grand Funk tune, while Listen To The Rock and We Are Boozers showcase the bands' own material. If you love Rock 'n' Roll, you're going to love this!

Here's a real head banger from 2007 that sounds like it came straight out of the 80's power metal movement - 1000 Paper Cranes, from the Norse band Grand Lux. Taken from their second album, Carved In Stone, this track screams Heavy Metal. Radium was a NWOBHM band from Nottingham, UK that only released this one EP, Through The Smoke, in 1981. The band was part of the "EAST MIDLANDS BAND CO-OPERATIVE", collaboration of bands (Race Against Time, Hell (UK), and Paralex), that helped each other getting gigs and equipment.
Ear In The Wall - Black Sabbath

Ear In The Wall was recorded exclusively for the Black Sabbath Dio years compilation set in 2007 (2 other songs were recorded as well, The Devil Cried and Shadow Of the Wind). After this recording, the band changed their name to Heaven And hell and recorded the album The Devil You Know.

Great track Pandoras Box and was with the Elixir guys when they filmed the footage for this video ,it was called Power Cuts. Was filmed at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone, 1986. Ironically there was a curiosity shop called The Pandoras Box around the corner.

I listened to them for the first time at the nwobhm called Heavy Metal heroes (1981). I am greately surprised they keeped their style and continued playing great music. This album made my day!
