Chris Carlson is a chalk artist from Denver Colorado. He creates pieces of art on the ground using chalk and tempera paint. In this video, Chris creates a piece for Pringles to celebrate the upcoming Super Bowl. The piece is so large that it takes three days to complete. Unfortunately, on the third day, disaster happens.
This video is a micro-documentary about Chris, his art and the work that goes into a piece of art that is beautiful and ephemeral. The nature of chalk art is that it's here today and gone tomorrow. There's something beautiful about that.

Video of the damage left behind by the freak mid-winter tornado that ravaged the tiny Northwest Arkansas town of Cincinnati. Unfortunately, three were killed when the twister passed through in the early hours of December 31st, 2010. This footage was taken a day after.

ER staff also need to ask which medications patients are taking. An ER nurse tried to give me nitrates without asking, and I was on Adcirca - which is in the same drug class as Viagra. My watching this movie and remembering this scene, prompting me to ask what pills they were giving me and then refusing, probably saved my life that day.

A student asked me a question today about the cGMP and nitrous oxide pathway, I explained all and gave as an example the nitrate meds contraindicated on patients taking viagra, and how it inhibits Cyclic GMP phosphodiesterase. After explaining al the biochemistry and pharmacology, I made the student watch this video.
