What the Tulsa Fleet Learned from Its Ransomware Incident
Dodge is pure garbage. I love how so many departments are having issues with their durangos rofl!!!
Ikr, If only Cops could use Toyota's đ
be
hi there does he have contact information? iâd like to speak with him about and see if he be interested in speaking with out fleet managers ⊠we have 2000 vehicles
Thank you! Excellent questions and answers.
How can i buy it and what about the price
How can I buy a used one of these
i think the key to stop crime is volvo police cars
Good for pursuits until you reach the curves ..
Hey Sir Would Love To Speak To Someone In Your Department As Your Fleet Department Or Corporate As A Sales Representative We Upfit About 850-1500 vehicles a year and the Rest Are Federal Government Agencies. Thanks I would just leave our Business Email Or Business Phone but there's to many TROLLS We Own Multiple Companies so whatever Or which way we can do this I would Appreciate It
I presume the 'Mach E' began the testing with a full charge (if not then this comment/question is mostly irrelevant)? As stated by the Lt., each 20 mile track session consumed 30% of the battery, and between sessions the vehicle was allowed to recharge on a level 3 charging station provided by Ford that brought the battery to 80%. If my math is correct, then the level 3 charger added 10% charge capacity between runs, how long was the vehicle connected to the charger to reach the 80% level? Or stated differently, how long did it take for the 'Mach E' on a level 3 charger to recover 10% of the battery? Last question, how similar is the 20 mile test session that consumed 30% of the battery, to typical police work? I understand this may not be the proper forum for these types of questions, thanks.
Thatâs really cool. Hopefully itâs comfortable for the officer driving it. Thanks for sharing

if an agency is going to use SUVâs (which they all should aside from maybe Highway Troopers), then why even bother w the PIU when the superior Tahoe PPV is a better option?? And please, the expedition is NOT comparable - itâs a soccer mom vehicle with red and blue lights added
I've been in a my 2012 Tahoe since 2011. Almost no problems. However on narrow neighborhood streets, it's difficult to flip around on a speeder. Great for interstate, but since there are so many barrier cables going up handling the medians doesn't really matter. My 2021 PIU Hybrid is being upfitted as I type. I believe the Tahoe is a close 2nd place to the PIU. Dodge isn't even in the same game. The Expedition is not a PPV it's an SSV at best.
The Tahoe costs a lot of money. It also is giant and eats gas. The explorer is cheaper, more efficient and has more police oriented options.
the new 2020 explorer police is still column shifter?!?! so, I don't think this is the electronic transmission like civilian model in 2020-future. In 2011-2019 model they use the same 6f55 transmission no matter the 3.7 or 3.5 ecoboost which is interchangeable but some mods is needed.
The back is small. I want to see it with a cage in the back.
Are you going to make plug-in hybrid for Toyota Tundra too?
Make it less ugly.
This stuff is absolute garbage. Poor product, and even worse customer support.
Police car manufactures need to quit fucking officers by putting out all these extra engine options. One engine one option, the Ecoboost and that's it. Stop with the underpowered crap motors.
The explorer is the only police vehicle worth buying from ford roomy power and awd itâs perfect
I like crown vic more than this..... :( Pls remake vic with hybrid
Pure junk.
Why because u always end up in the backseat?
Say all you want about hybrid, eco-boost and special police option V-6s, there is NO substitute for the horsepower, torque and throw-you-back-in-the-seat majesty of the small block V8. I have a 2002 Grand Marquis and would never consider replacing it with one of these phony pony "cop cars"!
As a police officer, I prefer the interceptor utility. The Vic is great in a straight line, but trying to drive when itâs wet, or when youâre taking a lot of turns is a nightmare. The utilityâs AWD is mind-blowing impressive. Iâve taken soft curves at nearly 100 and the car was able to keep me on the road. Plus the 65mph rear-end capability is a godsend. I know several officers that have been rear ended on the side of the highway and walked away without a scratch.
@@Johnathan.F As a non-LEO, I never gave much thought to the pursuit aspects of a good patrol vehicle. And to take a rear impact at 65 mph and have the driver walk away, that's just a miracle! Thank you for doing the job you do and please stay safe out there!
No Such Luck thank you!
No Such Luck I driven a Crown Vic for patrol and I can tell you that I will take my Utility with the Ecoboost it is far more powerful and faster then the Crown Vic
Why are they not adding a standard dash screen The Tahoe has a large screen like the civilian model Instead we get a tiny screen
Half of the bed is a battery? Going to make it pretty hard to haul a sheet of plywood.
Thats because retrofits like this are aweful.
They should have.just made a flat bed for it with storage space under the bed
%90 of trucks on the road don't see more then groceries as it is... so really not a big deal
Most agencies will opt for the base engine, leaving the 2020 with 25 less hp and torque, so it will be slower than the outgoing model.
I talked to over 80 different police and they ALL said they wanted the crown vic back
There's a reason why the P-71 Crown Vic was in service for so many years.
Fuck that
Nobody wants the slow, crappy Queen Victoria.
@@pkranz937 I have an old GMQ. It's no P71, but it accelerates and corners pretty damn well for a big girl
probably 80 different retired or near retirement guys who simply preferred the SEATS...You canât even begin to compare the two vehicles because the PIU is that superior. Not to mention, Sedan VS SUV - lets see how many of them want to be in a crown vic when a collision occurs... And, the second a car leaves roadways the crown vic was finished and calling for assistance/air support just to relocate the other vehicle... All this said, if agencies are going to get an SUV, I still donât understand why they donât go with Tahoe PPV or SSV (if in heavy terrain/rural areas)...
That license plate needs to go. A tainted message
No leg room in the rear as is. Imagine how cramped itâll be back there with a cage!
What do you say about your product pinging someone speeding on an outer road when they are actually on the highway.
No column shifter or plastic rear seats? Minimal space in front and rear. Over to Dodge it is.
And this is why my department and a lot of surrounding departments are switching from fords to dodge. Thereâs literally no space for anyone in there. 90% of our guys are over 6â so getting in and out of that isnât likely at all.
I literally would love to be pulled over by this lol
Why is their a console mounted shifter? Where will the MDT be placed?
Tyler Wilson my thoughts exactly
@@peterpowers4851 We have this and the MDT mount fits on top, but it does leave little room.. I hate the fact that its carpet throughout and you have to pay a 3rd party to take the carpet out and fit a molded floor. plus in the charger they have the cool light system that adds on and makes the daytime running light flash and the headlights. No so in the Durango. You can not have the headlights or daytime led flash
Rubber floor, vinyl rear seat, and column shift are now available.
@@pkranz937 How do you know this? We're trying to order these with rubber floors and column shifts
Sure beats the junk heaps we had to drive in my day. Turn on the siren and the motored died!!
