Mark Thompson played a pivotal role in covering up the heinous sexual abuses that Sir Jimmy Savile committed against hundreds of children while he was with the BBC. It is widely held in the UK that Mark Thompson should.rot in prison for the rest of his miserable life.

People who "hate" the phrase "woke" er... tend to be woke. Hislop and the Eye used to be anti-establishment and exposed hypocrisy but the biggest hypocrisy is the Liberal Left Establishment ignoring things like Extinction Rebellion supporters flying private jets whilst joining roadblocks stopping working people getting to work (step forward Emma Thompson) , big business only using black and mixed raced couples to portray families in TV adverts to look woke ( not a peep out of Private Eye), BLM, Critical Race Theory, White Privilege Sex is a Social Construct, the inability of establishment figures to define what a Woman is, the Cancel Culture etc all these Woke theories and obsessions supported and encouraged by the established media are totally ignored by Hislop and the Eye...Basically the Eye used to support underdog against the establishment now they ARE the Liberal Left Establishment like 90% of the media...-

I admire Ian's strength in being able to stand up to vindictive and bullying press attention. But unfortunately there are many other people who Piers Morgan has abused, bullied, smeared and generally treated very badly who don't have that strength, and also don't have the financial capacity to hire decent lawyers to protect themselves. I wonder how many suicides Morgan has caused?

I seem to remember a written article from Morgan about Hislop some years ago, where it was implied that the latter's downfall was coming and basically initiating a countdown to Ian's career being derailed by some shock revelation. To date that hasn't happened, though more recently Piers seems to have mellowed towards his old adversary.

Well we can all take comfort that Piers Morgan's new show on the right wing Murdoch owned scumbag journalism channel Talk TV has crashed and burned within a few weeks. His viewing figures per night are around the 50,000 mark which is peanuts. Private Eye sells more copies of its magazine than a typical nightly audience who watch Piers on Talk TV.

@now it is ten past three Yes he does. Lol please stop talking sh. 'women are more sensitive to comments'. We're more aware of certain, misogynistic comments because of what we experience. Men are extremely sensitive people but we only see that in relationships because outside of relationships our entire society is built around not offending or hurting men. A man saying one thing about another man means nothing. That's an equal situation.

I like Ian and agree that that term is absolute bullshit. People “beat around the bush” so real opinions are not heard, whether people agree or not. There is far too much time spent on pandering to fringe groups’ outrageous opinions. One of the current topics is “gender recognition”. I don’t care if people identify as a martian but don’t expect me to care about it. Grüße aus Australien.
