90s in NUTSHELL
More like late 2000s, early 2010s. The band didn't release their first album until 2008. As I recall from us losing our shiznit over Alice Practice and whatnot, it was very much a product of its time too, fitting in with other stuff I was listening to at the time.

@@downfall880 she left crystal castles in 2014 because she was horribly abused by the other member and she told us not to support crystal castles. she makes her own music so that would've been better for a video of her
I know all this information. I think she played a big role in Crystal Castles (no matter what anyone says). In addition, she sometimes performs the music of Crystal Castles at her concerts (and has every right to do so). But I agree with you that it was more appropriate to insert music from Alice's solo work
